I'm not sure what you mean by "burgundy marred garment." Do you mean "blood-stained"? If so, that word would be clearer.
I'm definitely intrigued by this chapter, and plan to continue, but I'm left with some serious canon-based questions, such as how Albus can look to be in his 30s; according to JKR, he's around 100 when Minerva is this age, and so he should look around 50. If you're not following JKR's info on their ages, that's fine, but you should put that in an author's note. I'm also wondering how Minerva missed having Albus as her Transfiguration teacher, but perhaps you'll answer that in later chapters.
Author's Response: Thanks for your comments. I suppose 'burgundy marred' was just away of avoiding using the words 'blood stained' twice in the same paragraph. This was my first fan fic, and I suppose I did take certain liberties with canon details like age, though her perception may be wrong. I should include an authors note, probably. The question as to her education is answered in the next chapter. Thanks for your review, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on the rest of the story.
