Author's Response: Hi again! Yes, poor Kat and Severus! *sniff* Explanations about Katarina's powers: If nothing had happened, Katarina's powers would have matured one day. She would have become the Barrier Keeper. But discovering the truth about Severus broke her heart and accelerated the process. The love she felt for him tranformed into despair to have lost him. So she turned to Dark Magic and it prevented her from recreating the Barrier again.

Wow! That was a great chapter! It explained a lot of things! I can't wait to keep reading! I'm sorry I'm late again, as usual. This time I have a really good excuse.... my Mom had a heart attack and has been in ICU, then she got out and had to go back a day later to the hospital with pneumonia for a week and now she's once again home and my sister and I are taking care of her and my father. All of that on top of my own health problems, so it's been a rough month to say the least! But, hopefully, I'm back for a few days so I can catch up on my reading! I'm on to the next chapt! ~~ TNgirl

I'm glad Remus got to let Kat know how he felt at any rate. There's been LOADS of misunderstandings between Severus and Kat and I don't think I could be very overlooking at this point. Even if I did hear and understand his point of view. There was just too much of it. I don't think I would ever trust Severus again after all that. It's too bad really.
Author's Response: Hi! Again, Remus did the good thing at the right time. Honesty is the best weapon someone can have. ^^ And yes, there are so many misunderstandings that it's difficult to sort everything out. Some people think that Burns is too harsh and should forgive (or at least listen to) Severus. Others think that Severus is a bastard who should have told her the truth. But their history is so complicated that it's just a chinese puzzle. Only future will tell if they'll have a second chance together. Next chapter coming very soon! ^^

She doesn't know he really loved her and wanted to protect her, but had been disarmed. She's convinced he betrayed her. That's why her heart was broken.

Poor Severus! I can't believe as smart as he is and he never thought of a glamour to hide the mark and they never had sex!!! That he's been faithful all these years is so sweet and sad all at the same time!! So, does that mean he a virgin? A 38 (?age?) year old virgin? No wonder he's so cranky all the time!! :) Ron needs to get something on Marietta to blackmail her right back!! Actually, Severus thought of glamours, but he knew that they wouldn't have worked on the Dark Mark (the link between Voldemort and the Death Eaters was too powerful). So, yes, he's a virgin, excatly like Burns. Not that he's happy about it... But he didn't find any reason to have sex without the woman he loved. Cute... I've finally figured out what's wrong with Kat!! Since she and Severus didn't have sex and she and Sirius didn't consumate the marriage, that's her problem! She's never had sex! She cries ice, icey hands, etc. = fridgid = no sex. That's what it's gonna take to cure her! Smile! I'm just guessing, but it's not a bad guess considering the evidence! :) Love the chapter, hate Severus' mom!
Author's Response: Hi again! Hmmm... a sex theory... Well, it's a little more complicated. Sex is a part of the problem (since it's somehow linked to the main problem), but not directly.
