I've only just found your story, and I'll put all my thoughts about it in here, if that's okay to you. First I must say that the pairing is odd, but very interesting. You are doing good job by making their relationship seem quite realistic. I can't begin to say how much I love the "history-bits" you give about the characters, especially Albus. And McGonagalls, I love them too! Dialogues between different characters are all in all very well written. I enjoy those most of all. Countless of times I have laughed out loud while reading this story. Like when Augustus told Hermione about Albus and his ways with broomstick. Or when Harry and Albus were imitating Hermione at the restaurant. Absolutely hilarious. I'm completely hooked on your story and I hope you update soon! And btw, thanks for including Venice in this story. I love Venice. Never been there myself though, pity.

Actually the fact, that the pairing is rather "odd" was what made me interested in it first. I don't like to write pairings who have been done a thousand times before and besides, I'm myself part of a "may-decembre" romance and therefore know the difficulties and the beauty of it.
Besides it seems we're liking the same things about a story: Same "insights" in characters, what made them be the persons they are now and where they came from.
And yes, Venice is wonderful. I love it, too and I hope, you'll get one day a chance to come there. I'm sure you'll love it.

Oh my oh my. Could not stop reading, was quite intrigued by it. Where will all of this lead? I'd love the idea of them having seven children and of them coupling and coupling all the time. By the way - sex with older men can be very good - so you are right at that point. ;-))

About the sex with older men: My significant other is 28 years my senior. Hence I think I know a bit about this subject and I'm entirely in agreement with you: It can be very, very good. ;-)

Author's Response: Thanks for your niece review! You're of course right: Someone should beat some sense in them - but alas, they need to learn the hard way! If not, it wouldn't make for a story. ;-)
The next update is already on the way. I think it will appear in a few days. And the next chapter is with the beta-reader, so the chances it will come up soon too, aren't too bad.

Excellent update, Max! I was so happy to see this story added to! :) So, they're going to marry 'for the sake of their child.' *snorts* I wonder how long that reasoning will last. ;) Hopefully, those two will get it together and realize just how much they truly love one another! But we're talking about Albus-I-am-as-blind-as-other-men-when-it-comes-to-my-own-personal-life-Dumbledore and Hermione-yes-there-are-times-when-even-I-miss-the-obvious-Granger.

Oy... me thinks we're in for a wild ride. Especially when Minerva, Harry, and Ron find out what happens. But if the boys so much as touch Albus, Hermione will probably hex them into next week. And Minerva will probably get a dose of her own medicine if she does indeed try to castrate Albus for impregnating Hermione. Never mind that it takes two to tango and all that! ;)

This pairing is extemely difficult to make believable, but (I have recently found) it can work. Your fic is actually well done but I would like to make a gentle suggestion or two for some possible additions: 1) Give us a prequel, or an added first chapter, giving MUCH more detail on the process of the two falling for each other. I believe they could come together as you have visualized it, however I also believe the reader needs to see much more of their developing mutual interest as they worked together before they have a battlefield shag. You TELL readers that Hermione began to fall for him, but don't do more than grace over the events. I, at least, want to know things like what the hell Albus was thinking when he chose a women over 100 yrs his junior to comfort him. You have shown the whole scenario as an overview, from the point of Hermione- the person most likely to simply have a crush. Give more from Dumbledore's point of view- prior to his "death". Why didn't they get together earlier, if her loved her and thought they were okay together- why did it take his nearly being killed to bring him around?- what were his qualms? 2) You really might want to deal with each characters thought processes related to sleeping with someone so much older/younger. Dumbledore as we have seen him in canon is charming and gallent- I find it easy to believe that he loves women HOWEVER he is also extremely intelligent, and would see beyond love and lust to the serious issues inherent in such a May/December-of two-years-ago relationship. Hermione would also be aware that sexual fantasies, or even real sex, don't make things easier when the entire Wizarding community is suddenly questioning both your current abilities and the way you may have gotten through school (Given Rita's overall nastiness, couldn't you just see the headlines- "Muggleborn Witch Seduces Barmy Aging Headmaster- Were Grades for Sale at Hogwarts?") Let us see Dumbledore coming to love her before they get hot and heavy. Let us also see his reasons for being willing to risk himself and his reputation on this relationship- at a time when his guidance is essential to the Wizarding community, and their loss of faith in him could cause chaos and dissent. Again, overall I like this stiry very much, but I would love to see it given a little more to stand on. As it is, it is close to a PWP, and it doesn't need to be, you have a good idea and need to flesh it out. Good luck

Thank you very much for it. I feel flattered indeed that you put so much effort in it. And you're right: The "quick start" is perhaps a weak point in the story (but I know at least how I came to write it: The AD/HG story I wrote before contains all what you want to see - and therefore the couple needs around a dozen chapters before I could finally write them a nice lemon). Yet on the other hand: I wanted to show a situation here which goes out of control - for both parties involved. And I think such a near death experience justifies even Dumbledore forgetting about his wisedom and self-discipline for once (he's a man, isn't he?). Besides: The story isn't ready yet. You will get his point of view in the following chapters and you'll learn, that he is in love with Hermione and was for a long time.
And you obviously see the wizard's world as I do - the relationship is a scandal and it will become handled like one.
Let's say so: Give the story another chance when the next chapters are up. And I'd be very grateful indeed if you'd tell me your opinion about it then.

Um, ok. Your lemons are very well written and definately hit their mark. I was very taken aback at the idea of Hermione and Albus, but the more I read, the more I think it could be possible. The suspension of disbelief and all that. Still feeling a little squemish over it all, but a great story none the less. Update soon.
