Author's Response: Well, I hope it's not all, but our writers' coalition is on a bit of a hiatus currently. We've got some great ideas for the rest of the story, but since HBP canon-shafted so much of it, it's been difficult to continue writing. This was terrific, dear Snegurochka (and all the Knockturn Alley Writers), terrific. I loved the way you introduced Remus, his post-war occupation and, all in all, I am simply so fond of your Lupins! They are so different and yet so yours. I must admit that the Lupin from Envy is my favourite (I am simply uncapable of writing a truly deeply evil character...) but this one seems interesting. Core of steel :)
I am looking forward to more.

As well written as ever, the story's progressing nicely! As a personal nitpick, I believe that Tonks is way, WAY out of character. I realise we haven't seen much of her, and so don't know much about her per se, but what she's described as doing to Lucius just doesn't ring true. A more credible reason for Lucius to hate Tonks could have been found - what about her turning into Narcissa to sleep with/gain information from Lucius as she did to Harry? They'd both have the same reason to hate her then. What she did to Lucius just jars with the rest of the story in a way that put me off a little.
Other than that pet peeve, I think the story is wonderful, and the characters are comfortingly familiar to Rowling's - or how I'd imagine them to be at that age. Keep the wonderful writing coming, please!
I hope you found the criticism constructive - it's not my intention to sound nasty!

Why haven't I seen Chapter Ten? I guess it haven't shown on the recently updated list. I check Lumos regularly...
First I will say what I thought about this semi"Bent" chapter. My, it was terrible. Not the writing - the writing was great. The situation and Tonks' behavious. She shouldn't have done so. It was just disgusting... I am angry with her.
On the other hand, Snape's behavious wasn't great, either. As much as we know his insecurity and all that, he dealt very badly with his situation.
And in ravvyn's chapter he was just so... insensitive. But I did like the way it was written.
As always Guernica's chapter was highly interesting. I especially loved how Tonks is trying to deal with the situation and Snape's taking care of her - now, this is Snape I know and love!
So now I will be waiting impatiently both for this and KEC's new installments...

ooh, what a great storyline. Thanks to all the authors! I'm generally not crazy about the H/D pairing but when the story is good the pairings don't matter so much, if you know what I mean. Not that I want to miss out on the smut, mind. And Professor!Lucius is so intriguing, just thinking of ways to serve him, er, I mean, detention with him would keep any girl, from any house, busy all year. I really love the way you write him! I arrived here from KEC and now I'm happy to find new authors to add to my favorites list :)

Hmm - it is progressing nicely. I really liked Guernica's chapter - and she just has such a plus from me as she claims using Polish dictionaries is fun :) I have always claimed that using English dictionaries is fun. It is a pleasure to see her write Lucius again - and this time without him being a complete bastard :).
"All right," Harry said, his voice considerably calmer. "Okay, if you wanted to scare me, you've done it. Tell me what I need to know."
I liked that.
And weee - I guessed right about the slash pairing. Bully for me.
And - Snegurochka - I really, really liked Snape's speech about rosy lips and all that.
And then - Snape and Tonks. Hmm. Not really my cuppa tea - but I am here to be shown the error of my ways, after all - and so far I could believe it. Not that there was that much of it ;)
All in all, I liked these next two chapters very much. I am looking forward to more.

The subject matter is novel and the way the post-war world is described makes me very curious. Harry Potter has to stay in hiding? Lucius Malfoy was released? Hmm. Not to mention this Mystai Ouroboros thing.

Author's Response: Actually, the cliffhangers come after each author's segment; we combined some segments together into chapters here, to make the chapters longer, but when we originally wrote the fic, each author left their own cliffhangers for the next author to pick up on... Glad you're finding them as exciting as we did when we wrote it! And you shall see about the slash warning soon enough... beginning in chapter 5, I believe... (which is also where the het warning comes in, incidentally.) ;-) Glad you're enjoying it so far.
