This is wonderfully dark and sad. And you've made me like Petunia and fermented (lovely word) bittersweet unhappiness. Thank you!
Fascinating, original concept.
What a deep story! Wow... I'm impressed with this. You brought a side of Petunia out that I doubt even JK Rowling could bring out.. Great job! -Cerridwen
This is lovely. It's dark and haunting and you really get a feel for Petunia, the less gifted sister, who gives so much but lives a proper life... a miserable life. The ending is terrific and Harry's summation is wonderful.
My God, that was so good! You know. for a split instant, I thought it was James raping Aunt Petunia, and I was like, "Oh God, why?" You know, bc Dudley was whimpering about "Uncle James." Well, that was a surprising twist. But if I recall correctly, couldn't Dudley AND the Squib with all the cats see the Dementors. And if so, why was he invisible to Aunt Petunia? Well, well done. That was a very imaginitive story full of angst and emotion and I love the newfound determination. That is a truly happy ending. 10/10
Author's Response: I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I guess the whole "Uncle James" thing was an attempt to get some sympathy for Vernon, in some sense. I'm not sure if it worked, or if it was too subtle. Dudley couldn't see the Dementors. There is a moment during Harry's trial when one of the Ministry people says something along the lines of "Dementors? How convenient that muggles cannot see them" - paraphrasing. Thanks for reviewing!
Twisted, yes..... but I love it. Onto the next chapter....
Author's Response: Ah, great to hear from other people who love twisted things ;)
This is superb. I'm so glad to see Petunia turn into a Gryffindor! And I love the fact Harry was angry without reverting to ALLCAPS! Thank you so much for sharing this!

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was unsure about the Petunia/Gryffindor analogy, so I'm glad someone else agrees with me!
Oh wow, I thought I was twisted!
Author's Response: ;)
Intriguing. I'd like to see you continue this.
Author's Response: I did! :)
