This is a great AU story to read, especially after reading all seven of the canon books. The "what if" factors are very good, and we know that Snape was headmaster for a while. Here, at least, Lupin lives, and the wizarding world is as dark as one would imagine it might have been if things had gone otherwise.
That was incredibly dark. That the pet was a person wasn't surprising (especially with the warning); his identity, however, was. Disturbing.
God, you're right, that was dark, but brilliantly written. Quite chilling, the entire atmosphere. A frightening thought as to the aftermath of battle.
Author's Response: Wow. Thank you very much for your compliments. I'm glad you found the story chilling and interesting - I was hoping to create that sort of ... chilling skin crawling creepy sensation. Thanks again!! Stasia

That was a well thought out story! You had me guessing the entire time and even at the end, I was just floored. Very impressive. I kept thinking to myself, 'Yes, it's Hermione. Voldemort won and what better pet than an 'unhuman' mudblood...' And yet you fooled me!! ^__^ I must say you just hit a homerun straight out of the Lumos ball park!! Wonderful job!

Author's Response: *blush* Why, thank you so much! I am very glad that the surprise worked; I was sure I'd left too many clues in there. I'm thrilled that you liked it! Stasia
