This story reminds me of Edgar Allan Poe's "Annabelle Lee", although the elements are changed somewhat (being in the sea, instead of by the sea, his kin being the one who puts her in her grave, etc.) I appreciate not knowing who Draco's wife was (I thought Luna), and I thank you for having posted it here. Author: Edgar Allan Poe
loved it
Author's Response: I'm so glad you did! You can read more of my fiction on my Draco Malfoy/Tom Felton website. http://myfeltondragon.proboards38.com
I liked the idea of this story. Somehow I suspect that the mystery wife was Hermione. It fits. However, I guess any Mudblood or half-blood would do.
I would have liked to see more backstory to this. Something elaborating on why Draco became different from his father would have been nice. Currently in canon, we can see Draco following his father's footsteps exactly. Hence, this seems like a bit of a jump to me. A few paragraphs of backstory woven into the fic would have sufficed.
I liked the whole set up of this and the use of the sea. Is there a reason why sea is capitalised in the second part though?
Author's Response: Your review makes a lot of sence, Ayla. I had Draco ooc (probably should have made this AU, but ah well!). Perhaps I'll put this as an opening chapter and take your advice to delve deeper into the 'whys' and 'whos' in further chapters. The capitalised 'sea' in the second part was simply an oversight of both myself and the lumos betas. Thanks for the review. I love and thrive on constructive criticisms, as they lead to a better fic. So readers, look for a chapter 2- and perhaps more! -Cerridwen
Wow... beautiful
Author's Response: thank you so very much for your review! I'm so pleased you enjoyed it! I have another story here called "Wrapped around your finger." I do hope you'll read and review there as well! -Cerridwen
