"Snape would have suspected that he had been killed and resurrected as an Inferi" -- this is a very powerful way to illustrate what AD looked like to Snape. Very interesting to think that the Spinner's End Snape was actually Dumbledore.

Well, there's nothing here that goes against canon. I'm just not sure what the point was for Dumbledore morphing into Servus. I'm guessing your assuming Snape would never agree to kill the Headmaster, so someone else must have been at Spinners End. I personally think that's a bit of a stretch, but it could happen.

However, I think you've got the rest of it dead on. I also think that Dumbledore was slowly dying from the burnt hand and that Snape performed a mercy killing when he killed him. I hadn't thought about Flitwick just fainting in Snape's office, but it sure is plausible. This was a well thought out story; thanks for sharing.

Um...I'm a bit confused on one point: How did Dumbledore know that Narcissa and Bellatrix would come to Spinner's End that night? No one is supposed to know of the plan to kill Dumbledore, and while Severus may have been clued in at some point, I don't understand how Albus would know and NOT Snape. So how would he know that he needed the Polyjuice Potion, and exactly where to be, and that they would request a Unbreakable Vow?
