“Excuse me?” she asked with a smirk. “Old what? And just what appealing things do you and Lucius have that Xiomara and I do not?” He conjured another glass for the whiskey through a chuckle and tipped a rather generous serving into it, then pushed it toward her. “Well, penises, for a start. Here, have this, you dried up old schoolmistress.” “Penises are highly overrated.” She took the offered drink, swirled it; took a sip. “Thankyou; you greasy, insufferable bastard.”
*snerk!* I enjoyed this story and I think that little section is my favorite part!
This is my second reading. You have a way with dialog. This story is engrossing.
Presenting the story in a different perspective than we usually see. Thanks
I have faith in Minerva to use both wisdom and reason and come up with the best answer possible. (Which doesn't mean it will be a pleasant one.) This is one of those stories that will stick with me; I'm bookmarking it so I can read it again.
