I'd be interested in knowing what the challenge terms are, as this doesn't seem to have much point. Is it about how Snape originally got roped in to the DEs? I'm also having trouble picturing them as students in this ficlet, though I can't put my finger on why...
Author's Response: The challenge was "a day in the life of a student during the Marauder era". I'm generally crap at writing Marauder-era anything, which is probably why you're having trouble picturing them as students! :D Thanks for reading. :)
