Now this, this is good. I know nothing about Russia, at all, but I can tell that they do. You present the contrast between conviction and non quite startlingly. My only lingering issue is, why DID Igor join, then?

Author's Response: Thank you! I've always seen Igor as a social climber, so I think he joined because it was the "in" thing to do in Slytherin during his time at Hogwarts and also probably because he, like Draco, was convinced that he was joining the winning side.
