This is quite powerful and honest. I find it fascinating that you view Draco as recognizing the truth and feeling as though he couldn't escape from his destiny in any way other than this. It is an interesting twist on things. Describing the situtation like this--"This same fight has been fought for centuries. The Dark Lord and Potter— they’re just the next fucking victims to fate’s little scheme."--certainly does make his role quite futile. What a rotten place to be!

Your descriptions of the room, the movements of your characters and his feelings is so very good!
