I almost always read this when it comes up on the random generator. It is still fresh, still compelling, still chilling. I think it is Hermione AU, as she was so close to Harry, Hagrid and Ron and it would frustrate her so that she is unable to help. If the she in the story were another female, it would make sense that the males would be different. (Example: Pansy = Draco, Crabbe, Goyle, Snape. Minerva = Dumbledore, Snape, Flitwick). An excellent piece of work. Thank you for sharing.

Author's Response: Thank you. Many people think it's Hermione, but honestly, I didn't really have any one specific person picked out when I wrote this. I am so glad that the story is compelling enough to make you want to re-read it.

unlike everyone else, i don't belive this is hermiony, it has to be a non muggle.Whithout conciosly remembering Hermiony would be able to figure out how to pretend to be normal, to get out. A macicly raised charictor whould never beable to remember clearly if she was under the delusion that her whole life was just that, a dilusion

Author's Response: Actually - I really don't think a Muggle-born would be in any position to pretend their normal under these circumstances - they're basically taken from the Muggle world at age 11 - far too soon to develop a real idea of how to get on.

It definitely has to be Hermione ~ there's just something in the way you've written it that screams Hermione. What a challenging piece.... I imagine this is how I might feel if I was told there was no magic in the world.

Author's Response: That is the beauty of the way this was written, it could be any female character in the HP fandom. I'm glad you enjoyed this.

Very nightmarish. How frightening. I am imagining that this is Hermione and that somehow she ended up in a different place after the war. Definitely gave me goosebumps.

Author's Response: It's interesting to see how many people think this is Hermione... only a few said they thought that it could be someone else. I suppose it does make sense, in a way, for this to be her.
