It might not be AU, J.K. Rowling might pull a dramatic plot twister and kill off Lupin and Ginny. It might not be a perfect start for a romantic relationship between Harry/Tonks but it's a start. :P.
Anyhoo the best stories tend to be AU, and i hane no doubt that this is one!

And thanks! Sadly, I doubt I'll get to continue this fic before the last books comes out, and then it will all be AU. Sigh.

Brilliant start to the story. You've got the characters spot on. I love Ron's sarcasm, Draco's unredemptive feelings- I hate it when he is made all good, and innocent, and his hateful feelings to both Harry, and Snape. Well done indeed. I look forward to reading the rest. :)

I'm intrigued to know why Harry has no choice but to find Draco. And I know what you mean about writing Tonks - she can say all those things that everyone else holds back! Please tell me Tonks and Harry aren't going to end up in bed ....

Author's Response: Harry has to find Draco so he can bring him back to Narcissa and get the locket containing Voldemort's Horcrux.
I almost hate to have to respond to the last sentence of your review. While I do love writing the story, this fic is also very much about playing with the characters in ways that turn me on. So, yeah, I'm afraid there will be Tonks/Harry. I promise it will be much more fun for him than his previous experience, though. I think he deserves that after what he went through with Bellatrix.
I'm sorry if that's going to really bug you. I really, truly do appreciate your reviews. I don't want to gross you out, though. *kisses you on the cheek*
