How sad yet beautiful. I found it interesting he doesn't feel he's cheating on his wife with the succubus. Am I correct in assuming when he said he couldn't save the two of them, he meant Draco and Narcissa? Once again, really well written.
Author's Response: You assume correctly--and I do wonder whether the succubus/ghost is 'real', or a powerful hallucination of what must be a truly tortured imagination. Alas, the plot bunny did not specify the nature of the haunting...
Thank you kindly for the review.

So I was shocked multiple times during this reading. At first, I thought the man was Draco (I was probably confused a little because of your penname, lol) and I accidentally skipped down and saw HER name, and I thought, oh, incest, but then I continued reading and saw Harry's name, and then everything got bungled up in my mind. Very interesting story, though, full of despair and subtlety. Nicely done.
Author's Response: *bows* Thank you kindly for your interest, in what is a rather darker writing exercise than my usual fluffy fare.

ok
not who I thought it would be
nice little twist
Author's Response: Thank you--rumor has it that my mother was startled by a book of O. Henry stories while she was carrying me...
