I have liked this story since I discovered it after the big SH move -- I couldn't review at the time (some kind of glitch), but wanted to take the opportunity to say how much I enjoyed your one-shot.
Author's Response: My (very belated) thanks! :)

This was a wonderfully well-written story with so much depth. I love the pairing, even when only hinted at. :) I think Minerva has such immense strength in her character and you portrayed it perfectly with her refusal to be broken by the men around her.
Author's Response: Ah, I'm such a sucker for this pairing, even if most of my writing only vaguely touches on it. I think Minerva's one of the most fascinating characters in the series, especially considering we only ever see her through the eyes of one of her students. There is so much about her that Harry doesn't know, and I love coming up with my own attempts at filling the blanks. Thanks!

What a great story! I like your portrayal of both main characters. They have a subtle complexity that makes the story very interesting. The tension between them is also very well done.
Author's Response: Thank you! I think those two are just fascinating, together and apart.

This is lovely, Lyn. It's a beautifully nuanced and complex study of Albus and Minerva before they became the legends we know. I love the idea of Minerva as a woman trying to make it in the all-male Auror world. And as always, your writing is excellent. You pack so many subtle observations into the interplay between these two. Brava.
And now, if you'll forgive me, I have a favor to ask in return for being the first person to read and review this tale (this is tacky, I know, but I'm desperate): Please, oh please, consider finishing "For Reasons Unknown". If you look at the reviews for the last chapter, you'll see that I'm not the only reader who loved that story and who would really like to know how it turns out. You did such beautiful work with it; please consider seeing it through to the end. I know it's none of my business and I don't mean any slight to your current work. I just want you to know that lots of us care about "Reasons" as well.
Best wishes.
Author's Response: First, I'm glad you like fic. :) I love imagining their past, both Albus and Minerva, what made them the people Harry meets in school.
And I don't think it's tacky so much as flattering, really. I'm amazed by how many readers are still faithfully waiting on FRU--it if wasn't for all the encouragement I would've given it up. I went through a long phase of disliking HGSS after my best friend got all mixed up with one of her teachers and...it didn't end well. But I'm back on track, just stuck halfway through a chapter. I'd tell you it'll be soon, but right now with my last quarter of school, grad school apps, jobhunting, and moving, I might need a couple more months to calm down.
But thank you so much for the encouragement, it's very helpful!
Reader's Response: You're welcome! And take all of the time you need - I can wait forever as long as I know there's hope. :)
