This is just beautiful. I love that all the portraits glare at Albus when he persists. It has to be one of my favorite aspects of this story, just for the loyalty to the Headmaster/mistress. Perhaps just to Minerva herself. :P

Good job. Makes one wonders what the portraits do when no one else is around. Phineas and Albus both fit the canon, and good for Dilys! This story does answer the question of how Minerva carried on in the days after HBP. Very tenderly done.
Author's Response: Thank you! Dilys was my inspiration for this, more or less--I had an image of this no-nonsense, female Healer spending her portrait years kind of rolling her eyes at all the male egos around her.
