Of all the dark fics I've read about Tom Riddle, this is by far the darkest. What a horrible, horrible person. No wonder he didn't hesitate to kill a baby, and had no idea what "remorse" was at the end of his life. Great job writing about such an ugly, evil subject.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review. Really, I find one of the oddest things about writing fiction is the ability to go, how shall I say, beyond what I as a (reasonably nice, and reasonably reasaonable) person could ever conceive to do.
I based this fiction on 2 things: real-life accounts of psycopathic mass murderers, and a straight-line projection between the 10-year-old Tom we see from Dumbledore (having killed at least one pet and tortured 2 schoolkids into insanity) and young Lord Voldemort.
I started to say, "glad you enjoyed"--but neither gladness nor enjoyment has anything to do with this particular fiction, neh? But you clearly appreciated what I was doing.
Thanks again for reviewing.
