This was wonderful. I wish I had something more to say, but I'll just stick with great job and beautifully done. ~Clara
I know I had reviewed this before but this time I read it I just wanted to cry. Makes you wonder how many times you just miss the mark and can't see what you truly want or need until it's too late
I love the incorporation of "I'm Not That Girl." It makes me imagine some beautiful second part to this story to the tune of "As Long As You're Mine." A very nice one-shot.
ohh so bittersweet nice to know the inbetweens the stories
Sad.. so sad... and such lovely use of the lyrics. It breaks my heart to see in black-and-white what we often do to ourselves by lack of confidence... by not believing in our dreams... by allowing ourselves to hold too tightly to the past of shattered dreams... Too often, we can't see that much of what happened actually brings us closer to the REAL dreams - if we don't forget to reach out and claim them. If I didn't have an idea of where you were headed with the Ginny story (and I'm not 100% sure, even) and if I didn't know the outcome to these lyrics from "Wicked", I'd still be touched and honored by this story - this reminder to never give up... on myself OR my dreams! (Thank you, my friend! I may not know when, where, why, or who... but I WILL continue to believe in the courage and reality of dreams.)
Remus and Ginny is my OTP, and I've read nearly everything for this couple. I'm always looking for more fics, but because I've read so much, I've become bored with it. This fic from you was like a breath of fresh air. I *really* appreciate that more than you may realize.
I invite you to visit my site in my profile because it's a 'ship site for R/G. To my knowledge, it's the only one currently active, though there were 2 minor ones in the past. I also invite you to consider letting me host copies of your fics on my site. You'll see if you visit the site that there are several hosted authors, and they get credit for their own works. I hope you'll consider and say "yes."
I might have to read the companion story for HG/SS that goes with this. It could be interesting. In most stories that involve Remus that *I* have read, the writer does not chose to cure him. I wonder if it's a matter of the writer not knowing how to write him interestingly if he's not a werewolf or an unspoken acceptance of him jsut being who he is--a werewolf. So you've done something unusual as per my reading habits, and it does work.
Summary of ramble: Great job! Please continue! (j/k on the last part. I know it's a one-shot, and I find those kinds of reviews shallow and funny in their shallowness.)
Author's Response: I'm actally continuing this in "If She Fell" here at the Burrow. I've been at a standstill, but the muse is coming back now that work isn't so crazy.
Oh my ... *sniffles* I hope the one you just posted is a sequel to this one. Because they need to be together. *nods firmly*
Very nice job.
Author's Response: Yep, this was kind of the prologue to "If She Fell". Thanks for reading!
Can't believe I missed this. Don't usually bother with song fics, and when I do I tend to skip the lyrics, I'd have to say this is one of the few fics where *I* thought the song really did enhance the story. I'm so glad you are posting your story here too, validating over the holidays must be slow. I'm very excited to read more, but I already wrote that at AFF. Thanks!
Author's Response: I HATE songfics, but I was so touched by that song when I saw the musical "Wicked" last April, and then I thought it fit so well...I'll never do another one, though. LOL
Well, dammit, GET the courage, man! *laughing* It is a good thing I read reviews, because I noticed that you said you were working on a fic that sort of picks up where this left off. I hope Remus grows a backbone between now and then because my heart was broken along with Ginny's. Sad, but in an extraordinarily beautiful way.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for your review!
Uhh, you must wirte more, what agreat begining to a most exciting story, leaving it there seems UNFISISHED! You must go on.
Great job on the writing, wondefuly done.
Author's Response: I posted the first chapter of "If She Fell", but it hasn't been validated yet.
Poor girl that blows,
Author's Response: Ginny doesn't see the Ginny others see. Wait until my new fic "If She Fell", which should start poting this weekend, if not sooner.
How sad. Poor Ginny. I can't quite bring myself to feel sorry for Remus.
Author's Response: True, we reap what we sow. This will be continued in a manner of speaking in a new fic that I'm currently working hard on. Thanks for reading!
