Very well done--both the description of the kiss and accompanying emotions and the unhappy aftermath. Not a pairing I thought in a millions years would appeal, but you make me feel for both of them.
It needs a sequel where he understands that it was not pity what she felt for him. :-)
Aw! I hate the ship and watching (reading) the kiss was a bit squicky, but the ending, in Neville's POV, was fantastic. Love the title, too (it's what drew me in despite the ship).
Poor Neville. He really is one of the sweetest characters... I do hope you write a sequel that end a little more happily for Neville. This was a nice little one-shot, though.
Author's Response: I love Neville. I think Ginny's a bit thoughtless and self-absorbed, though. You did see the sequel, there will be more ;)
awwww.... poor Neville.. *g* will he have another chance at Ginny, ya think? aka: sequel, please? *weg*
Author's Response: There is a sequel, "She Walks Over Me" and there will likely be another one after that ;)
Poor Neville! I hope you'll give him a chance to redeem himself in another fic. As for this one, it was very sweet and poignant (I'm a sucker for N/G).
Author's Response: Well I just added a new story with N/G but... she's a bit frustrating and distracted :)
awww please dont tell me you are going to leave poor Neville like that? He gets such a bum wrap all the time. Let them have one more Chapter please to get it together.
Author's Response: I'm afraid that's it for this story ;)
Well, that was blinkin' beautiful. Thanks for it...i hope you continue it!
Author's Response: I don't have immediate plans to continue it, although I have a feeling that they'll be written on here and there in other shorts that may eventually be compiled to an actual story ;)
Ahh...Very sweet. Will there be more?
Author's Response: In another form, perhaps ;)
Oh my poor Neville. *hugs him* Very very nice job - the emotions were quite well done, and I hope you're going to continue this.
Author's Response: It is always a possiblity. Couples I like usually get more writing time. But I likely wouldn't start from the point of this story.
This was wonderful! It was full of emotion and sadness and a little bit of hope. It makes me want to read more, makes me hope that somehow, some way, Neville realizes that his feelings are shared and that they were home in that kiss. Excellent job. Is it a one-shot or will you be continuing it?
Author's Response: It's a one shot that may be revisited in a different form later. I'm rather enamoured of the pairing but I'm in the midst of another novel-length story I'm loathe to abandon.
