A very clever and brilliant ending, I really enjoyed it.
Thank you so much for answering my query on the last review, since locating you via your other story have read the rest.
Thoroughly enjoy your writing, please continue, by all means write another story like this should you get writer's block again, its a wonderful way for writers block to entertain your readers.
Best wishes.
Author's Response: You are a very kind and rather wicked reviewer... I'm terribly susceptible to suggestion. Already the epilogue/sequel for this is starting to bubble in my brain. Ack! Otherwise, your reviews are wonderful and I deeply appreciate the compliment to my writing. It's amazingly bolstering. Thank you, Threesisters, and I hope to see your name pop up on my review screen from time-to-time.
Ok fluff alert I see you romantic you and how many have asked for an epilogue? I add to that nuber it would be nice to see a little Severus in his Godfathers house in Hogwarts don't you think. And the house and the Malfoy name restored and what the hell Malfoy the Ministry for magic it could be fun what you think??? Him and Harry becoming friends? A meeting at Hogwarts to celebrate Snape taking the headmastership? Come on I know in you brilliant mind you can find an epilogue somewhere...I have to say you have really out done yourself with this story and it really is a lovely piece and I am glad Draco realised his mistake and took the right steps to get back Hermione's love and trust. Thank you.
Author's Response: semperputus, you have quite a fertile imagination. My thoughts for an epilogue are running along the lines of 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner' a la Snape-style. I haven't even gotten to the idea of kids yet. Otherwise, I am a terrible romantic at heart, and I thought the fluff at the end made up for the misery in the beginning for Hermione and the misery in the middle for Draco. Thank you very kindly for your wonderful enthusiasm. You've helped make this dipping in the D/Hr pond quite palatable.
I'm so sorry to see this end!
Author's Response: Well, thank you, pookie for the wonderful compliment. I may, perhaps, write a short sequel after I finish the other story I'm writing... I already have the title in mind, 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?' (after the old film).
Is that it?
I need more than that
Author's Response: Sorry to disappoint you, run away mental patient, but for this story arc, this is it. I just may have to write a short sequel, or perhaps an epilogue (after I finish my other story). Still, thank you for reading it this far.
*sighs happily and dabs away happy tears* Aww! So sweet! Three little Malfoys in Gryffindor, and perhaps one in Slytherin after the dungeons are finished... *giggles* So sweet! Bambu, you've done it again and kept me totally enthralled! The rich layers of the story were absolutely magnificant and they were a delight to delve into! If you decide to keep writing stories about our dear Draco and Hermione, you have someone who will be reading every bit that is posted! Once again, spectacular job! :)
Author's Response: Thanks, AQ. I'm delighted you thought it worked. I thought I'd better put a 'fluff' alert to the chapter, but you know me... a romantic at heart. Although this entire piece was originally supposed to be a PWP (snort, look how well that turned out!), I may delve into Draco and Hermione again, but not until after Summoning is finished. I'm always so happy to see a review from you, you're wonderfully encouraging.
Everyone together now.. "Awww" Were you, by any chance, planning an epilogue? I think you should. I want to see the faaamily!! Pleeaase? *gives puppy eyes - sticks out lip* At least a short one! And if not, I enjoyed the rest of the story and I guess that'll have to satisfy me.
Author's Response: Thanks, ArienAstera, I'm delighted that you have enjoyed this story. I hadn't planned on writing an epilogue, but you never know. Maybe a rabid plot bunny will bite me one of these nights. Thanks, though for the wonderful review.
Beautiful. I really enjoyed the journey. Angela
Author's Response: Thank you so very much, SiriusLives689. I'm delighted to know that you liked it.
Great story. Wow. I am definitely impressed. I hope that you continue to write, and for the record... I'll read anything that you write. Excellent.
Author's Response: That's in incredibly generous compliment, Taigan. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.
I actually took a break from my opus, The Summoning (on Ashwinder), to write this. I was itching to write a Draco/Hermione piece, and it grew.
They stole a chess set?! Those... those... MEANIES! How dare they! They are supposed to be representatives of the government and upstanding citizens. Instead they turn into petty thieves! Well, here's hoping that Hermione figures out how to get it back! *imagines Hermione visiting Percy Weasley at the Ministry, demanding the return of the chess set and putting fear of God into him* Great chapter, Bambu! Sorry for the delay. Have spent the past several days with my grandmother to make up for not being able to see her at Easter. But this was a wonderful thing to come back to! :)
Author's Response: AQ, so nice to see your review. I know the MoM isn't particularly nice, is it? After all, they employed Dolores Umbridge, so I didn't expect much better actually. Im delighted that you're keeping up with the story, and I hope you like my last, lengthy resolve. Thanks, as always, for your wonderful support.
am enjoying this immensely. draco & mione need a little tlc.
Author's Response: Thank you, akasha, I'm so glad that you're enjoying the story... there's only one last chapter to go... I hope you continue to enjoy it.
I'm so glad they are together now--whether they realize it or not. It has just evolved so naturally that they are just now realizing it. It's really something to see. You really ARE having work done around your home--you are telling on yourself through Hermione (big smile). I cannot believe you are only going to give us one more chapter! But their is so much to do: Snape to have for dinner, Percy or some such Ministry official to tell off, a broom ride to share, rooms to repair, proposals to make! Oh, my goodness, you are going to leave some of it out, aren't you? I just hope you include the proposal in your last chapter! I'm torn between begging for the next chapter or pleading with you to wait to post because I don't want this to end!
Author's Response: Your reviews always make me chuckle. You're quick on the uptake... all of them. Yes, I'm going to leave some things undone... but the good news is that the next chaper is rather long. I'm sure you understand, there's a lot to accomplish in it. Thank you for the great compliment about not wanting it to end. I don't think a writer can ask for anything more. But, I have to go back to writing my epfic, 'The Summoning.' I can't leave that story untold. Thanks, again, for your lovely and consistent reviews. I appreciate them more than I can say.
Really enjoying your story with Draco and Hermione,
I like Draco in this, the way he's trying to get his life
together, Thank you, hopefully update soon.
Can I mention The Summoning have you abandoned
that story, hope not, it was the one that introduced me
to your writing.
Author's Response: Threesisters, thank you so much for the review. I'm delighted that you are enjoying my version of Draco in this story. I've grown rather fond of him myself. I will be posting the last chapter of this tomorrow, most likely.
I'm not abandoning The Summoning, actually I had hit a plot snag, and then this plot bunny gnawed away at me and I just had to write it. There was a March 15 deadline for IATQO's Spring Challenge, so I had to finish this in time. But, after tomorrow I'm resuming the next chapter of 'Summoning.' I've ironed out the snag. Thank you very much for asking.
Really good chapter. Not a huge amount of interaction but a lot about thought processes Also a very gently start to romance lets just hope Draco can remain calm and patient with Hermione and I am sure he will be rewarded for his efforts. I hope Snape will make an effort to be friends again though I am sure it will come with warnings. It's sad about Zabini I also liked him and Draco as a team and poor Draco is so alone I hope he can find a new friend in Harry maybe Draco must remember that Harry helped when no other would. Again my Thanks on updating so regulary and I hope to read the next chapter soon as the romance progresses.
Author's Response: Thank you very much, semperputus. You're a wonderful reviewer... so consistently enthusiastic and supportive. It's deeply appreciated. I'm glad you were able to wade through the slow bridging the gap between them... for this couple, it would take time. I hope you like the resolve...which is coming up next time.
Great chapter, I hope that both Draco and Hermione get the chance to collect some if not most/all the objects that were taken from the Malfoy Manor. Thanx for the fast update! *~Luv Loz, mwa!~*
Author's Response: Wow, Black_lust_z, you were on this chapter like a hawk! I'm really impressed. Thanks for the great review.
aaaaah, good... what will snape say to this one
Author's Response: I'm glad you approve... I think Severus will be toasting his acuity and grimacing at the fact that he make a fairly good match! Thanks, run away mental patient, for your review.
Thank you so much for the fast update, I immensely enjoyed this chapter. I hope now that Hermione has accepted Draco’s apology, and are taking the first steps of friendship again, that Severus will be able to forgive Draco. It was touching to see how the Potions Master reacted to the distressed Hermione. I’m also eager to see how Draco and Hermione's friendship will developed from here. Keep up the fantastic work, lots of chocolate and candy for you! *~Luv Loz, mwa!~*
Author's Response: I do tend to like the Potions Master quite a bit... but I'm fairly happy that Hermione and Draco are getting along. And who knows just how well they'll be doing in the next chapter. Thanks, Black_lust_z, for your wonderful review... and thanks for the chocolate.
Oh, thank you for the post! I was concerned that you'd make us wait as long as Draco at a chance to see the apology! Four hundred and eight-seven platinum buttons! Now, that I've got to see! I'm still trying to figure out where they would all fit. Of course, there are different layers to formal robes, I suppose--no matter the imagery is fantastic. I'm so glad she was willing to give him another chance, and how clever of you to have Molly explain his point of view. It means so much more coming from a woman (with a husband and 6 sons (7, including Harry)), and Molly has such a direct, sincere and loving manner; how appropriate. The timing is convenient--they'll have a few months of the Manor gardens to retreat to while she helps him repair his (hopefully, in the future--their) home. I'm certain that he will be thrilled to have both her help and input. Go Draco! Go Hermione! Yeah!
Author's Response: Have you read the next chapter, Lyndie? Or am I just way too predictable? I'm teasing! It's so nice to have a reader who is so enthusiastic to actually hop on the ride.
Well, if they're formal robes, I was imagining buttons on the cuffs (shirt and formal jacket) then on the vest, and then on the sides of his legs (similar to Rickman's costume in the HP films) and then on his trousers and undergarments... very tiny and very difficult to remove. I think of this as a fairly Victorian and repressed society in many ways. Besides the number was astronomical and I thought it was kind of funny. One of the best compliments I've gotten has been for my characterization of Molly. I can't tell you how gratifying it is that you find her believable and comforting and yet still in character. Thanks so much.
Three cheers each for Molly and Harry!!! (and you, Bambu!) Wonderful chapter --- I can visualize this story as I am reading it --- that's how sophisticated your style is. When I am reading your work, I am IN the story (does that make sense?) --- it is difficult to come back to reality. Hmmm --- guess I will just reread everything tonight! I am torn between begging you to update ASAP and hoping that you drag things out a bit so that it WON'T end!!! Lovely, just lovely ---THANKS!!!!!
Author's Response: WOW! History Miss, that is the best compliment a writer can have... you don't want it to end and that you can visualize it clearly. Thank you, thank you. I just love getting your reviews.
*cooes* Yay! Hermione forgave him and they're slowly going back to normal! *grins* Wonderful chap, Bambu! :) Very much enjoyed! :D Molly and Harry lend a helping hand, and Severus all but beats Draco senseless! All is normal in the world! :) Again, wonderful job! :)
Author's Response: ::snicker:: I love your idea of 'all is normal in the world, AngelQueen. And I think that we may have achieved something even better than normal for these two. Only time will tell. Thanks, as always, for your enthusiasm.
Ohh poor Draco He is quite delicate really isn't he? And Harry all grown up and has lost Ginny, poor Harry I hope he finds some peace. And Severus so angry so hurt because his actions caused Hermione pain ahh but now it's time for healing. I hope they take this oppotunity to discover a bond of friendship even love both of them deserve that don't you think? And Maybe Harry can help he seems more mature and maybe Draco can find a friend there? It was beautifully written and I loved the Draco's development and his owl's perspective on things. So will there be more bumps or will things have a more rosey out look ? Keep it up and Thanks for updating so regulary
Author's Response: Well, poor Draco is a bit rudderless in some ways. The pillars of his existance have been stripped away, so he is a little vulnerable, but he's resilient. I'm glad you like my Harry (try as I might, I cannot see him as anything but a tragic figure). I can't tell you if there will be more bumps along the way... that would be cheating ::author raises one eyebrow dramatically:: Thanks, as always, for your enthusiasm. It makes my day.
Awwwwww! That was very sweet. I'm happy it ended like it did/ A groveling, sincere Draco Malfoy is always a great read. ^_^
Author's Response: Your comment about a 'groveling, sincere Draco...' left me snickering. I agree wholeheartedly. Thanks for the lovely comment, Tedabug.
Ooh, not a smart play on Draco's part, the big dummy! Anyway, I forgot where I've read this story before, but I know I'm absolutely hooked on the plot. Great work.
Author's Response: Tedabug, how nice of you to have left me a review. Thank you for your kind words. You might have read this at IATQO's Archive, or AFF, or my personal website as I'm posting the chapters simultaneously to each of thiese sites. I'm just tickled that you're reading the story.
and just when i thought that they were making real progress.... this story is awesome so far and i can't wait 'til you update! please don't make me wait too long!!! ; )
Author's Response: In the morning, Akasha, in the morning I'll update. Thanks so much for your lovely compliment, it really made my evening.
Wow, this story has me on the edge wondering what is going to happen next.
Author's Response: Thaidoll, that's wonderful to hear. I'm thrilled that you're enjoying the story so much. Thank you, thank you.
Wow. Great job, I felt ill reading what happened to the library. This easily stands as one of the better pieces of literature I've read, professional or fanfic. Read all 7 chapters in one sitting and now I have to reread, with dictionary. LOL. I wonder if Ron and Harry will also pay a visit to Malfoy Manor? And what their reaction would be?
Author's Response: Leona, how kind of you to take the time to review. I can't tell you how delighted that makes me. Thank you, first of all, for your implicit compliment on my vocabulary (I do so like to play with words). And, you've added something I didn't think of... Ron visiting the Manor... hmmmm... must think about that. Thanks, again, for the review... I have to go think now.
