wow, what a great story! *laughs* really, this has been the best thing about having a wicked hangover all day: I can use it as an excuse to curl up on the couch, sip tea, and read amazing fanfic! Thank you for a great day, and a great story Bambu!

Author's Response: NegativeNine, you really did hunt up my other 'stuff'! I'm so glad you found it worthwhile... even as a remedy for a hangover. I'm delighted you enjoyed it, and even more delighted that you let me know!

Wowza! This has just become one of my favourite DM/HG stories. I found your characterisation of Draco highly appealing and I loved the whole deliver-morning-roses-through-trapdoor bit; how sweet. Really like your style of writing too! :)

Author's Response: Thank you, spitfirecracker, you've given me such a wonderful compliment. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed this story, and I actually liked the trapdoor too.

This was a lovely story. I particularly liked the anticipation and the vivid picture you painted of Malfoy Manor. I could practically scent the roses in some scenes. Very well done!

Author's Response: oh, love23rules, this is a very lovely review. Thank you so much for enjoying my story and letting me know.

Oh, my goodness! I'm so, so sorry I didn't get to read the rest of this before I took my trip! This proposal scenario is so much better than one involving dress robes! Wow! Definitely not a children's "how Daddy proposed to Mommy" story. Now they'll have to make something up! (panting) (laughs) Really quite good. The passion translates. "They" would have to develop post-Hogwarts. The break of a few years that you gave them would do the trick of quelling the tumultuousness of youth. I'm just so happy that I've finally gotten to read the last chapter of this story. I haven't even been to Ashwinder yet to see if there are any new pearls from my main ship--I came here first because the anticipation was almost unbearable. A truly satifying read. Thank you so much for participating in the Spring Fling challenge. This has become one of my very favorite HG/DM stories. Kudos to you, Bambu! And Thank You, again!

Author's Response: Lyndie, you are a most wonderful reviewer, and I thank you for your faithful following of the story. Your enthusiasm has been so encouraging and I cannot tell you how much I've appreciated seeing your reviews. Thank you, thank you. ::I'm now going back to my regular ship with an occasional foray into this fun world of D/Hr::

I read this story in one sitting--couldn't tear myself away from it. After reading your fics on Ashwinder I thought I would give this one a try. Draco struggling with his inner demons--loved it. I had fun reading this one and look forward to more.

Author's Response: pyewacket!!! How great to see you here. I'm delighted that you ferreted me out (entendre intended) and what a great compliment. I captivated your attention! Thank you very much.

I just loved this (but you probably figured that out from my other reviews!) -- it was simply delightful from beginning to end. I had a moment of panic when Chapter 10 stopped halfway through a sentence, but all was well when I returned home from a quick Easter weekend trip. I have enjoyed your use of language throughout the story. Wonderful descriptions, great characters and scenes. I laughed when Harry and Ron let Smith's head thump on each of the stairs as they were removing him from Hogwarts. I also enjoyed your version of Snape and the POHSMM episode (more giggles). So, thank you, again, for a wonderful serial story. I am going to look up your Summoning story, and I look forward to any sequels you care to write!

Author's Response: You, History Miss, are an exemplary reviewer (as has been my fortune with this story), enthusiastic, specific and complimentary. I think you've just made my day. I'm so glad you enjoyed the entire ride, from the dark to the light and all points inbetween. Thank you very, very much.

Heh. It must be love; I would have hexed an intruder in my bedroom before I realized who it was. This was a truly enjoyable story, which is surprising only because I don’t consider Draco to be a worthy hero. Don’t get me wrong, he was believably heroic in this story, but I fear JKR has a different path laid out for him. Which is why I usually don’t read Draco fics. But I’m glad I read this one, and I’ll even read the sequel, when and if you write one. But hopefully you’ll get back to Ashwinder first, and update The Summoning!

Author's Response: Winna, thank you so much for reading and enjoying this story. I've appreciated all of your comments. And, yes, I'm actively back to writing The Summoning. I do agree with you about Draco in canon. I doubt JKR will move him from his predestined path at this point. However, I think he's a great foil for Hermione (and easily extrapolated from canon for some really interesting story dynamics). There will be an epilogue/sequel at some point... probably after I finish The Summoning. Thanks, again.

Heh. Trust a Malfoy to wager something he was already going to do anyway. And its sweet how Hermione is getting all angry on Draco’s behalf. Going on to the next…

Author's Response: ::grins:: I just love your chapter-by-chapter reviews... they're remarkably cheering.

Aw, that was sweet and angsty at the same time; is swangsty a word? I could feel how hard it was for Draco to swallow his pride and go after Hermione. That he had to do so at The Burrow was even more humbling. I can only imagine how the dinner with Arthur & Molly would go! Wonder how Snape & Draco will get along when next they meet.

Author's Response: I think you've coined a new word, Winna: swangsty. Can we create a category for it? I'm glad you appreciated the difficulties for Draco. In some respects, Hermione had the easier role this time. Thanks, as always, for your wonderfully enthusiastic feedback. It's greatly appreciated.

Huh. There I was expecting 4 chapters of fluff and you drop this bomb! Must do laundry before reading next chapter!

Author's Response: Ooops... sorry to disappoint your expectations. But, could you really see this couple coming together without some sort of explosive moment or two? I think I'll follow your example and fold a load of laundry as well. Thanks, for your great reviews. They're so delightful to read.

Good to know what Draco's been up to. I wonder if the current MoM is as corrupt as it was under Fudge's rule. If so, how many Malfoy items are now in the homes of Ministry officials? They even took the table; what sort of Dark Arts could be associated with a *table*. Good chapter, but I really have to stop reading for now. Must. Do. Work.

Author's Response: Ok, you go to work. And I didn't think of extrapolating Malfoy possessions in the homes of others. I was thinking more along the lines of a vast MoM warehouse with copious amounts of items in a limbo-like storage. Nice idea, though, Thanks Winna for reading so avidly.

Nice transition chapter. I'm sure glad I came across this story after it was completed, I don't think I could have stood the wait!

One of the many reasons I like your stories is the little turns of phrase the characters use. Like at he staff table, where Draco "watched her like a Norwegian Ridgeback with a clutch of one." It's so much more appropriate than "watched her like a hawk." On to CHp 5

Author's Response: This, my friend, Winna, is a beautiful compliment. Thank you.

Whew! I was afraid that Zach would somehow escape. And that was a nice Draco/Hermione moment at her bedside. Interesting that her wards (and her cat) accepted Draco right away. Wonder what the next 7 chapters will bring?

Author's Response: I'm so glad you noticed the wards... yes, interesting isn't it... Thanks for enjoying their little moment.

Whoa! Heavy stuff. I thought Zach would be more subtle, not just jump her at the first chance. It's really hard to write a tasteful rape scene, but you managed it. On a lighter note, I like the chastity charm and the way other characters (Bulstrode, Tonks, etc) have been woven in to the story. I was going to limit myself to 2 chapters a day, but I can't stop now!

Author's Response: Well, Zach's a Hufflepuff... subtlety isn't his nature. He was waiting for two years for his opportunity, and I don't think he's willing to wait for another wizard to snatch her up. I'm glad you've liked the other characters.

I'm not even remotely a D/Hr shipper, but after Calling Card, I will read anything you write. I'm finding it hard not to root for Snape (too much time on Ashwinder) but it's easy to root against Zach. Liquid Imperio - scary! Should be interesting to see how this develops.

Author's Response: Wow! Winna, I opened my reviews and you've given me loads of wonderful reviews... for each chapter. That's so kind of you. Thank you. I'm very touched that you enjoy my writing enough to venture into the world of Draco and Hermione - I'm also a huge Snape fan (I'm sure you could tell from the characterization here). Thanks for enjoying so far.

Thanx for a great little fic, it was enthralling all the way threw...and one part I loved was when Draco, Severus, Harry and Ron set aside their differences to help a friend that they all cared for deeply. Even if at the time one of them, *cough* Draco *cough*, wasn’t aware how deeply he cared. But more importantly, if you ever choose to post more fic’s I would not hesitate to read them. So I will leave you with salutations, and many blessings. *~Luv Loz, mwa!~*

Author's Response: I'm so delighted that you enjoyed my story. I confess that the group collaboration was one of my own personal challenges to write in this little piece, so it's awfully nice that you enjoyed it. You are welcome to meander to my SS/HG stories on Ashwinder, and once I finish Summoning, I plan to write another D/Hr. Thank you again for such wonderful reviews.

Great story! This may be my favorite Hermione/Draco fic. It's certainly top two. I loved the pacing and the slow developement of their relationship. A sequel perhaps?

Author's Response: Wow! That is a truly great compliment, Maela, and I can't tell you how much it means to me that you would think so. A sequel? Perhaps. I've a working title which has changed slightly. It's called "Severus Comes to Dinner..." it could be quite fun actually. Again, thank you so much for the review.

Wonderful, wonderful story. I'm glad I found this. You kept me reading for about two or three hours straight. Thank you, and keep up the good work! An epilogue would be a great treat, if you see fit to write one. =)

Author's Response: What lovely praise. It's such a great compliment when I can entice someone to read for a couple of hours straight. Thanks, blaspemae, for the taking the time to let me know.

WHat's your other story? What website is it found on? I'd like to read it.

Author's Response: I appreciate that you liked my story enough to hunt up another one. I've written a couple of SS/HG stories on Ashwinder (Calling Card, my most recent, and Revealing Moments, which was my first), and I'm in the middle of an epic length SS/HG called The Summoning. That's a pretty broad-based HP fic. It's awfully nice of you to let me proselytize an SS/HG at the Malfoy-centric site.
