I'm really enjoying this. There's a nice inner conflict inside Draco. It makes it all the sweeter that he finds himself attracted to someone he's supposed to hate. I can't wait to see what Hermione is going to do/think about Draco's odd behavior.
Author's Response: Well, she's certainly observed the fact that Harry and Ron could change dramatically...maybe she'll give Draco a chance too.
No No No. Do not call her herms.
This is a good story, I haven't read any on Pureblood before (I don't think?) but I like your angle and it is pretty funny at times. I do hope you continue soon. How will I know when you update?
I can't get over that scene with pansy and millicent. hahahha. I wonder if there will be anything like that again?
Author's Response: Mmmm... not exactly like that, no. However, there's something kinda cute coming up with a piece of statuary. I think if you mark this story as a favorite, it will send you an email when I update. I still have several chapters to post, then I have to write more. But the quick updates will be coming for another week or so.
This chapter is too funny!
Author's Response: :-)
He could've killed himself, though Severus catching him was a nice added touch. I agree with Severus though, what is going on with those two? One is fine, while the other is not and then they reverse that. Go figure, have to spice is up somehow. Though I am curious as to what is wrong with Draco.
~Krystle Lynne~
Author's Response: Well, he's angsting pretty hard that he likes Hermione, but his past is catching up with him in a big way. Dumbles may have forgiven him for siding with Dad and Voldy, but Herms hasn't... or so he thinks.
A tear? Really Draco! lol, I loved that part! As for Hermione, I'm STILL shaking my head at her...DON'T be so stupid! Use that know-it-all brain that everyone says that you have...Harry's a bad idea, Ron's even worse, and Draco's just Draco (not that it's a bad thing, trust me *smirks*).
Great job, I look forward to seeing more soon.
Author's Response: on its way soon, honest.
What is really going on here? It's driving me nuts! (which I love, by the way) And where exactly do the three men stand in Hermione's life? I can't wait to see how Draco reacts to the competition!! Great job!
Author's Response: Thanks! It's a complex relationship, that's for sure, and will undoubtedly get weirder before it's over...
Noooooo, Hermione, you idiot!! Don't fall for Harry's rakish charm! He's a player! Stick with Draco!
Author's Response: *snerk* and Draco's NOT a player?? Hee hee hee.
What the hell did Harry do to Snape's wife?! At least Hermione still has some wits about her. Post more soon.
~Krystle Lynne~
Author's Response: There's some more story there, that's for sure...
Neville to the rescue! And why did Harry have to come back? Great job!
~Krystle Lynne~
Author's Response: Why? To annoy Draco and Snape, of course!
OK, seriously? This is awesome. I read it all in one sitting, and I am hooked.
Author's Response: Cool!
Keep it coming!!! This is great!
Author's Response: :-)
Oh! I just found this story tonight and devoured it! Delicious! Fabulous! :D Please keep the chapters coming! I love how you've written Draco, and his fellow Slytherins as well. Brava, darling!
Author's Response: Thank you! More to come...
Fawkes_07, I love your stories! You wrote Occlumency (HG/SS), didn't you? It was fabulous and this is too. Please don't stop writing.
Author's Response: Thanks, Phoenix! Yeah, I have a couple stories on other parts of SH. The most complete archive of my stuff is at thepetulantpoetess.com.
I really like Snape's wife and I loved the dance. I'm enjoying your Draco and really want to find out what happened with Hermione.
Author's Response: Thanks! More to come.
I totally agree with curikitten on all accounts. Why, when things are going so well, does Hermione have to screw it up? Poor Draco. Though I am curious as to where Severus is, I'm still looking forward to that scene very much.
~Krystle Lynne~
Author's Response: I think she's just oblivious--she's used to Bigot!Draco, and has no reason to believe he's changed on any major level.
Oh, ow. And I really like this Draco, too; he feels like Draco to me. And Hermione has no idea how much she hurts him, and if she did, she wouldn't respond correctly anyway, because she's definitely not in the right place to have that kind of responsibility. Gotta love Slytherins who take an interest in others' well-being. They're more formidable than Gryffindors when they decide to care.
Author's Response: Ooh, what a cool phrase.
I am really enjoying this story! Snapes married, Draco is maturing nicely, and I wonder where you are taking us with Hermione? Everything is there for a great reading experience. So keep posting! DOn't keep your readers jumping in their seats!! :)
Author's Response: *snerk* Sadly, that's what I do best. But I can post another chapter, I suppose.
Nice one Severus! I cannot WAIT to see the ball, especially since Hermione is going now. Great job and post soon!
~Krystle Lynne~
Author's Response: *snerk* Never let it be said that Snape can't get the job done, whatever it is...
!!! I wonder who Snape will bring. I like the balance youve obtained with Draco, making him seem somehow nice but still mostly in character. Cant wait for the next update!
Author's Response: Thanks! He's got some growing to do before he's ready for Herms...
Another good chapter! I hope that many more are to come.
Author's Response: 20 so far...
Awww...yay Draco for making an effort! I loved the whole play between the two. Great job!
~Krystle Lynne~
Author's Response: *snerk* It'll get better, even.
Hmmm...interesting turn of events for Draco. I am very much looking forward to his first party. Post more soon.
~Krystle Lynne~
Author's Response: It'll be interesting, that's for sure.
Where is the rest?!?! I was getting interested in this!!!!!!!!!!
Author's Response: sorry, got distracted. I'll post another today.
Hermione feeling depressed? Can't imagine it. But I am loving that you seem to be gradually introducing a new side to Hermione and therefore something even Draco can connect to.
Author's Response: Depression pops up in unexpected places. I think there'd be a let-down after one destroys a Dark Lord, meself...
Yay! Draco's finally realizing that life is more than black and white. Wonderful, jut lovely! Though poor Hermione, depression is far from logical, it is not something you can reason with. I'm glad that it looks like Severus is a positive figure in helping Hermione recover, though who knows if all is as it seems, right? I'm anxiously awaiting your next chapter!
Author's Response: Draco: Slowly but surely. He's about to get some more lessons. Snape: So far in this story, he's been sincere. Let's hope it stays that way. Herms: I think the Post-Voldemort Blues plus R&H acting like complete jerks would add up to depression.
