I just found this story, and I was completely blown away. You did such an amazing job of telling this story. You conveyed intricate plotlines with huge amount of story arch with a minimal amount of words. You took my favorite character to a place I could never have beleived of him, and you sold me on it. You showed an immeasure capacity of love, and how the human heart can completely break down with the loss of that love and hope. I could never beleive this of Neville, he has too much goodness in him to ever betray them, but I understand why you chose him as the antagonist. I think it would take that level of betrayal to push Ron to the place he was in. Wonderful job.

Nice job combining grief & vengence. It was pretty obvious from the beginning that it was Neville, but it still hurt to think of that sweet clumsy kid betraying HRH. Writing style suggestion: use more active verbs, ie not "to be," "to do," "to have." Otherwise, a captivating & well-written fic.

I admit, I'm not one for one-shots, per say .. I'm usually a fan of the epic length Homer-esque novels that are written ... I also not a huge Weasley fan ... I stumbled in here by accident ... Now, with all of that being said ... THANK YOU for writing this ... It is a very powerful piece that, I feel, puts Ron in a very different light than we are used to seeing him in ... Keep it up ... I may just check back again to see what you're doing ... :)
