Obviously, a lot of build up went into this! But I don't think Hermione is the type of person who would toy with an idea for such a long time. If she got all the things together, she'd just cut herself. And then more the next time.... Five years building up to a single cut in an unusual place sounds...odd. But, you did admit they were OOC, so that's fine :). I honestly thought the blond was Draco until she said his name ;).

Author's Response: I think we all attribute Hermione with bits of ourselves, and that's sort of where this came from. As for the single cut, I think she's cautious enough to do a test run to make sure she does it in the right place, with just enough pressure to not seriously injure herself. And it doesn't say she toyed with the idea of cutting for five years; just that he'd been gone for five years. ;)
