Ah, so this is going to be Snape/Hermione and Tonks/Lucius? Interesting. It is neat to see Snape through the eyes of a stranger, even if Tonks really would have had him as a teacher. I'm glad Lucius is finally out, and curious who pushed for his release (Death Eaters, obviously, but who precisely? And why?)

Author's Response: Well, OK, Tonks and Lupin are a bit cheesy. But I just updated ch1 and cut bits and pieces of it; and hopefully there won't be too much of it in the next chapters. Provided i can keep Snape and Malfoy not too much out of character!
