OMG!!! I love this chapter and the REM song title! You are my hero!
Author's Response: Thanks, lucianya. I really thought the song was a perfect capturing of the mood of this chapter. I'm glad you are enjoying the story.
Heh heh...two new chapters...great. It keeps getting better, don't worry about dark storyline.......it keeps us all interested, I think!
There's nothing worse than a bland and predictable story. I think this is going great, makes my day when there's a new chapter! Keep up the fantastic work!
Author's Response: Thanks, Angel. I figured no one would really mind, but there might be a few that thought this would be a fluffier story, which I kind of thought it might be. Personally, I love the unpredictable nature of the story that I never know what's going to happen until I post it and ensure that something does happen. LOL I keep hoping that I do provide some new ideas that people haven't seen. For the most part, I haven't seen any of this in my limited experience. :) Of course, I've only seen a handful of Lucius/Hermione fics. Real shame that it's an underappreciated ship. :) More will be coming soon.
This is getting good! Poor Lucius! Wonder what is going to happen between him and Hermione now? And the baby? Looking forward to reading the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks, kanoni. Lucius has more or less watched his entire world crumble around him. Questions will be answered at some point in the future. I just can't speak to when.
I'm not sure if your muses are evil and diabolical or if I like them. It could be both. Nicely done. At least we know Hermione is okay. Hopefully, we can get Lucius out of Azkaban and do whatever we need to stop Damian baby... or cure him. Or her.
~Lisa
Author's Response: LOL I see we have a victim of today's board wonkiness. ;)

Author's Response: Thanks, Lisa. Right now, I'm not sure if I like them or not. LOL Okay, I like them because they are constantly feeding me new ideas for this story. :)...Yeah, poor Lucius. His life seems to be taking a downward spiral right now. Seems like he's lost his second family before he had a chance to really get started, doesn't it? For that matter, no one really knows what's up with the baby right now. Keep reading to see if his fortunes change or if my muses let me do nice. :)

Well, I have a theory as to what is going to happen, but I'll just wait to see what happens. I'm just afraid that either Hermione or Lucius WILL die, and I'm afraid Lucius may redeem himself by dying...not such a happy ending.
Author's Response: Well, keep your theories ready. I'm still not entirely sure which direciton it's going. I had an idea, but the muses ruined that idea for me. Glad it's got you thinking, though. :) That's a true mark of a good story, one that leaves you wondering what's going to happen.
WOW! (sorry can't say anymore)
Author's Response: Thanks. and no problem with not being able to say more. There is a lot in that "WOW!".
What a place to leave off!!! Update soon, please!!!
Author's Response: Thanks, TNgirl. I am working on an update that should be up in a couple days. I know, it was an evil cliffhanger, but my muses made me do it. :)
I have to say that I'm with Harry and Ron about 40-some year old men impregnating 18 year old girls. ;) While I certainly hope Hermione makes it, it might be better if the child does not. It looks like Lucius would have been better off sticking to a more gradual seduction...one that would have culminated in a big society wedding, not a secret affair. Oh well, live and learn.... I am enjoying the story, though. It's fun to watch people squirm and scheme!
Author's Response: Thanks, Mithluin. First, congrats on being the 100th reviewer. Yay!
You know, there's a part of me that's creeped out by the 20+ year age difference (and honestly, that's what kept me from getting into Ashwinder stories, though I'm sure there are many good ones), but then when you look at how long wizards live I begin to feel a little better about it, but in this case, I think I'm on Harry and Ron's side even though it's my story. After all, she's still in school. LOL...You know, you have to hate it when a plan backfires and this one blew up right in Lucius' face. His plan and your plan were the same, go public after the war and introduce her to society, riding on the coattails of her popularity, etc, but the fates really conspired against him, didn't they?...I'm glad you're enjoying it. Of course, if everything went according to plan, that would make it so boring wouldn't it? LOL...And there is lots more scheming and squirming coming up. :)
gah, that was an evil place to stop! I know you just updated, but...now I'm going to be fretting about this all weekend...
Author's Response: Yes, yes it was an evil place to stop.
Ok... evil but kinda good story - jeez! Well done on it and I hope you can update soon!
Author's Response: Thanks, JTBJAB. The muses are firmly entrenched in their evil streak. I have to admit I think it's a brilliant evil streak, but it's still evil. :) Hopefully early next week I'll have more up. :) I need to fight off the crud so I can battle my muses. :D
I guess Lucius's big excuse didn't help that much after all. He's outed now, this had better work. Am I going to have to have a little chat with your muses? I'll sic my plot bunnies on them!
Author's Response: Yeah, Lucius' little lies didn't really help him out much, did they? He's really in a pickle and it's not looking too good for him...As for chatting with my muses, perhaps you can help me round up LariLee's and send them back to her. Hers seem to be a bad influence on mine. LOL At least that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. ;)
This is getting good! Poor Hermione! Hope she pulls through.
Hope you get feeling better soon! Looking forward to reading the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks, kanoni. Poor Hermione really is having a bad time of things. Now we can see if Dumbledore was right about love being the most powerful force out there...thanks for the well wishes, too. I wish I'd either get fully sick or well, not in the limbo I'm in now.
Phoenix,
I do hope you feel better soon! Take your time and get better. The muses come when you are ready, not before. Thank you for another excellently written chapter.
Dianara
Author's Response: Thanks, Darkraven. I thought I was feeling better this morning, but I went back to blah as the day went on. I don't think I'm getting worse...Anyway, I do have nearly two more chapters written and hope to have the next one vetted for errors over the weekend. I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. This is one of the hardest I've written.
Another great post, please post again soon. Thanks.
Author's Response: Thanks, mysticraven1. This has been a great story to write and I'm hoping to have another chapter up early next week. :)
I really am enjoying this story. Poor Weasleys.
Author's Response: Thanks, Sayyida, glad you are enjoying this story. :)
Presumably Hermione will be cured, but this does not look good for the baby! The accelerated pregnancy will effectively disguise the conception date though, very interesting.
Author's Response: Thanks, Owlbait, but you think my muses will make me cure Hermione? You have more faith in them than I do. LOL Seriously, though, it doesn't look good for either of them, does it?...And yes, the accelarated pregnancy could be a boon for Lucius, at least until they see the flowing blonde locks on the baby. LOL Seriously, though, I need to have a little levity given the current progress of the story and the review response seemed like a good place. Let's see how bright the others are, shall we?
Wonderful story... update soon.
Author's Response: Thanks, mirlanthiriel. The muses are hard at work on future chapters and I hope to have the next one up prior to this weekend. :)
well written! can't wait for more!
Author's Response: Thanks, Makalani. More is definitely coming. I think I have the end in sight. I just had a few more new ideas on the drive into work today.
Again, Very well done on dealing with Lucius. I think the image of Remus getting a clue was ingenious. Remus always was the best investigator and listener out there anyway. Well, at least the calmest. I applaud your reasoning behind how this is working.
Dianara
Author's Response: Getting Lucius' reactions for this chapter and future ones was a little difficult. Of course, writing people on the verge of madness is not entirely easy...I really liked the idea of he and Remus starting to form a friendship. I think they have enough similarity now that they can empathize with each other and we know Remus wants to be liked and is the type that will reach out to people...I'm glad you like the reasoning, the muses and I have continuous arguments about that sort of thing. Thankfully, I wrote the next couple of chapters at about the same time so we're pretty much seeing eye to eye on them. :)
Jean
Eek! Not even born and the baby's already scary! Poor baby! Poor Hermione!
Author's Response: yes, tei, this has kind of taken a turn for the worse for Hermione and the baby hasn't it? Don't worry, Lucius is working hard to find a solution.
I'm quite saddened by Hermione and the baby's condition. How cruel of those nasty, nasty Death Eaters. I guess if he gets the chance, Lucius will have earned his redemption. Thanks for the post!
Author's Response: Lyndie, those Death Eaters are nasty and I'm disturbed at how well my muses are channeling DE nastiness. I think I need to commit them...I would say that if Lucius does help out it should improve his stock with the others. If only Harry and Ron don't prevail...This whole thing is an emotional roller coaster for everyone.
You continue to surprise! I felt sad about the curse and it's effects, but also pleased that you are giving us a very original idea, not just the old, straightforward happy ending etc etc..
Eagerly anticipating the next thrilling instalment!!
Author's Response: Thanks, Angel. This was going to be a more straightforward romance type fic, but the muses changed the story on me mid-stream. I was hoping this idea would be at least somewhat original. I can't recall having seem something like it and if he would use Inferi, why not invent something like this? While I curse my muses for being mean, I do enjoy the drama they have developed. I'm still in negotiations for where future chapters are going...I'm glad what I have written is evoking a strong emotional reaction. These chapters have been very hard for me to write, both in terms of the cruelty and in trying to get the mood.
Jean
This is starting to get really good! Wonder what the note says in the pocket? Hope Lucius finds a cure fast! Looking forward to reading the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks, kanoni. The note will be revealed in the future. I generally try to reveal everything in later chapters, but every now and then I dead end a plot point. LOL Poor Lucius is frantically trying to find a cure and we can only hope he will be in time.
Oh man! That totally sucks! But at least Severus decided to lend a hand... finally! Please spoil us and update soon!
Author's Response: Thanks, JTBJAB. Now that I have you on the edge of your seat, I'll keep you there a couple of days. I'm polishing up the next chapter and hopefully will have it ready to go by the end of the week. :)
