Author's Response: Let me begin by saying that I appreciate that you took the time to review, and that I always welcome constructive criticism. I believe you have misconstrued the purpose of this story. It is a mood piece, meant to elicit a feeling, not to have an "explanation" or intricate plot. As far as the "edge", I really don't know what you are looking for there. I'm sorry you didn't like the ficlet, and I realize I'm not an experienced, or necessarily good author, and this is not a fine piece of literature, but I do not think it is bad enough to warrant the extremely low star rating you must have given it to lower my overall rating by an entire star. You do have a right to your opinion, however, and I don't mind constructive criticism at all. If you have more specific and helpful criticisms, please feel free to visit my live journal to discuss it further. Thank you again for reading and reviewing.
