Author's Response: I'm sorry, really I am! I'm so stuck on this story at the moment. I'm going to try to work on finishing the next chapter over the next few weeks, but I can't make any promises. I've gone back to college, and that's taking a lot of energy. It makes me happy that you enjoy it enough to be in suspense. I hope people will still like it now that it's going to be completely AU based on HBP.

I thought Draco and Hermione's speech and mannerisms were slightly formal when Hermione was thinking back to Hogwarts, but other than that I really like this. Its a bit different to the others. Nice change as well to have Lavender as the 'friend to confide in' instead of Ginny. Please update soon!
Author's Response: My beta had the same concern about the formality of the dialog. My thoughts on the matter were that when two well-educated enemies are forced to work together they may use exaggerated formality as a buffer to keep from going for each other's throats. I'll have to remember to concede to her superior opinion in the future! Thanks for reviewing and for making suggestions for improvement, it's much appreciated.
