This is getting really good! Lucius knowing that Draco has a mistress, kind of, but don't know who it is. Looking forward to reading the next chapter!
Author's Response: The tangled web just gets more and more tangled, doesn't it? Glad you enjoyed it, kanoni. :)
Draco is an idiot if he really thinks that he can outsmart his father.
Author's Response: Thanks, Midnightlilly. I think Draco is still experiencing that youthful feeling of indestructability. You'll see if he gets taught a lesson by someone with a lot more experience in being sneaky. ;)
This is getting good! Poor Lucius and Hermione haven't a clue as to what's going on behind there backs. Looking forward to reading the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks, kanoni. I'll submit the next chapter in a few days. Nothing quite like following sneaky Slytherins, is there?
Ooh, sneakiness and lies...just what I like in a story! Seriously, I really enjoyed reading this and can't wait for Hermione and Lucius to find out the truth.
Author's Response: Thanks, Tedabug. The sneakiness and lies is why I really like writing for Slytherins. There is so much entertainment value. I think this is one truth that Draco does not want out in the open. ;)
argh, that bastard Draco! this is a very intriguing story. will there be more?
Author's Response: Thanks, severina. Draco is a real bastard, isn't he? He really should learn to respect his elders. There will be another chapter submitted in a few days. I need to give it one last run through for little errors and get it in the right formatting. :)
Great start! Lucius is going to be completely pissed! Not to mention Hermione! Thanks for posting this here!
Author's Response: Thanks, Lyndie. I think you really captured what Lucius' reaction will be if he realizes what's going on. And poor Hermione. We already know that she can get pretty nasty when angry.
Oh dear... what a tangled mess this as become for the Malfoys. Excellent beginning, phoenix! :) Can't wait to see more of this! Hopefully Lucius will figure everything out and give Phaedra and Draco what they deserve!
Author's Response: Thanks, AngelQueen. Would you believe I don't watch daytime soaps. LOL I wanted to summarize this one as a "Jerry Springer sort of family" but I figured the non-US set might not understand that reference, but it fits. Lucius has lots of life experience over Draco, I think it will come in handy. :-D
Interesting! Update soon! (Grrrr.... and Draco is an idiot!)
Author's Response: Thanks, JTBJAB. This is a "tide people over until I finish up the next Redemption chapter" fic. This was a fun one and had very demanding plot bunnies. And yes, Draco is an idiot. Here he is, mid-twenties, thinking he can outsmart his father. Doesn't look good, does it? Especially if Daddy learns his dirty little secret. *wink*
This is smashing! I love everything about it. Phaedra as Draco's lover puts a really nice twist into things. I can't wait to see how everything pans out.
Author's Response: Thanks, malicia. Isn't that a great twist where Phaedra is Draco's lover? Funny thing is, I finished the story and then I picked her name before refreshing my memory on Greek mythology. While not a perfect parallel, her name fits. More to come in a few days.
What an evil, wicked little plot bunny this is! I've often wondered what would have been in a battle between father and son. I'm betting on Lucius, though he should be proud Draco seems to have learned something about pure-blood politics. :-)
~Lisa/LariLee
Author's Response: Thanks, Lisa. This was a really wicked plot bunny. I had it about 3 weeks ago, and have worked feverishly to get this one off my back, especially once I realized it would be short. And yup, Draco's not as thick as Lucius thinks he is. *eg* Next chapter will be submitted during my brief stop home on 2-3 Jan.
