Author's Response: Thank you for the review! I'm trying to update, I really am, but real life and the lack of a muse have been getting in the way. I have outlines, I promise, but I just can't get the words to flow. We'll see how it goes, though. I really love this story, and have no intention of giving up on it. :)

*tear* It's beautifully written...and terribly sad. The realistic sense in it made me shiver. Please continue. I need to know that despite everything Hermione will be alright...

However, I have to say, I can't completely promise that Hermione will be all right...BUT I can say that I'm not a fan of angsty endings... :)

Author's Response: hee, thank you! I've been trying to write, and have several detailed outlined for upcoming chapters, but I just can't seem to get it out. I'll continue trying, though. Perhaps now that real life is going well, things will come. Here's hopin' :)

Yeah... I just read the other review, which was rather insightful and logical, and I'm very, truly sorry, because this review is going to be nothing but gleeful girliness. Just thought you should know, right? Right. I mean, I'm desperately trying to refrain from making silly, overly-sentimental and cliched comments, but your story was simply TOO good. Well, then, *sigh* here we go... *squeals* What a GREAT chapter; I really LOVE your story!!! Oh my God - the action and description were totally exciting and stuff. Please, please, PLEASE continue to update! Honestly, this story is one of my Favorites. Anyhoo, cheers and please keep writing. -do you see what your writing is doing to me? *sigh*

This looks like a really good story so far, but there are a few things that really stand out to me that make it hard to get into. Hermione was unconsious for four days in the forrest before she woke up? If that is the case as Dumbledore states, then there would be no sticky, slimy blood, it would be completely dry. Also, she seemed to move around too easily for having her shoulder ripped out and having been unconsious for four days. It would have been much more realistic had she woken up first noticing the pain, and there would be a lot of pain from dehydration as well as the wounds, I can't see her waking and wondering why she wasn't in her tent, she wouldn't be that coherent.

Okay, other than that, I do like this and hope you keep going. It does seem rather strange that Dumbledore would go for sending the students into the Forbidden forest alone, however. It would have been better to see more precautions in place since there are all sorts of very dangerous creatures in there.

I completely see your point, and wish I had thought more deeply about the physical ramifications of lying unconscious in the woods for four days. However, I am glad that you are liking the story. In the next few chapters I will go more in depth as to what the precautions were that Dumbledore set, and how whomever attacked Hermione got around them. Thank you for the review!

This was very well done. I havne't read much RL/HG before, but your story is the one that now has me interested... I can't wait to see where this is going. Update soon.

This is really a fabulous story. I can't wait to read more and see what happens as Hermione adjusts to life as a werewolf ... but I'm sure Remus will help her out there ;-)

This is a lovely set-up. You've got a mystery, a life-threatening experience and reason for Hermione and Remus to be alone with one another while she adapts. You've also got the sensationalist aspect the transformation. I look forward to your next chapters.
