Love the chapter. Love the story. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next. I'm really pleased with the depth you've been giving your characters, not enough people do that because they assume we know them already. Although we know them from canon, seeing them as you see them in your mind's eye definately contributes to making this a story worth following.

YES! I have waited for an update -this is a good transition. I like the changes in Draco. Realizing that being the image of his father is the best and the "human blood" in him and Hermione was the same. VERY! VERY! GOOD!

Another well written fast moving chapter. please keep up the good work and supply us with more:-) I have the bad habit of reading like ten things at once, but I dropped the others temporarily to read this. Since you asked your readers if anyone had any ideas, I kind of think it might be an interesting twist if the boys find out about Hermione's rape by having some kind of altercation with Lucius Malfoy and he hints at it which then leads to them finding out what really happened through an order meeting of sorts. I think that might do well with tying into the established pensieve memories portion of the plot as well as edge towards them "accepting" Draco(and I say this loosely based on how they treated Snape in Canon since I kinda think this will be the same kind of thing), at least enough for them not attempt to cause him bodily harm on sight.

I really wish that I could have seen Draco's face. It sounds like is was a really funny face.
I really liked how you related the imperius curse to rape : "Rape is the same thing as the Imperius Curse" I think that that really hit home for Draco.
I think that the boys should find out by over hearing it from someone. I donno why I think this but I think it would be interesting to see how they react by finding out this way.

Author's Response: Thanks for the idea. I'm still torn, but it will probably be they find out by accident in some way. I'm glad you like my take on the Imperius curse. It really does sound like mental rape. And I jsut was trying to picture Draco's face at learning Hermione was having a brother for him... I decided he would have to be shocked at the idea...

Wow, what a riveting post-HBP story sayyida! Wonderful characterization with Snape, Draco, Hermione, the Order members, and the "boys" (Harry 'n Ron). Love the story plot with Hermione being the go-between with Snape and the Order and Draco's slow change of view as he learns there is more to the world then being a elite "Pureblood". You have done a good job in presenting so many POV with all the story's players...their actions, emotions, and thoughts. Can't wait to see where the story is heading next...just wondering though, will this story eventually be a HG/DM story as it develops...or are they going to form a SS/HG/DM love triangle where both the men fall for Hermione? Thanks.

Nicely done. I like how Severus doesn't pour out his life story to Draco - just enough to get by on. And he's still sharp with him when the issue of Dumbledore's trust comes up. Hermione seems so calm while she's telling her story - I wouldn't think that normal, so I'll credit the Draught of Peace. Most girls probably wouldn't be able to put into words what had happened so soon afterwards.

This is a fascinating and intriguing story. I like post-HBP fics that can believably show reconciliation among the major characters, particularly because Draco Malfoy and Severus Snape are both intimately connected to the assassination of Dumbledore.
As to whether Draco can get over his blood prejudices? I hope so, but it may take time.
