It's cool that Pansy hid Draco's trunk after he had to leave. I never even thought about what had happened with Draco's stuff! I wish they could run away together; they do deserve to be happy. :(
Yay for the Room of Requirement! I wish I had one of my very own. I hope those pictures don't get them into trouble. If someone else found them, I don't think they'd be protected by the spell they performed to block their minds.
Author's Response: I really think Pansy would take care of Draco's loose ends after he left. I could use a R of R too! The pictures will be mentioned again. Thanks for reading! - SIW
*laughs* I wonder how Draco found out about the Protean Charm. I'm glad Pansy was able to get out of class to spend time with Draco. Pansy and Draco seem to jump to conclusions a lot when they think the other doesn't think very highly of them...I hope it doesn't cause too many problems for them.
Anyway, good work, as usual!
Author's Response: Draco and Pansy are experiencing very intense emotions, and I think a bit of insecurity makes them want to 'test' the other. So when Draco laughed at what Pansy said, she thought it seemed weak and needy, making her feel insecure. She doesn't want Draco to think that, nor does she want him to think he has the upper hand. So she tests him by calling him on it in a way that makes him defensive. lol I hope that makes sense. Anyway, thanks, IEG, for continuing with the story. :) - SIW
Wow! I'm so excited to see some of Draco's interactions with Snape and the Dark Lord. I'm really beginning to like Snape a lot more because of your story, too.
Great work!
Author's Response: IEG, There's some conjecture as to whether or not Snape AKing Dumbledore released him from Narcissa's Unbreakable Vow, so some of his motives may be driven my the UV. I think Snape is just trying to survive. Thanks for the feedback, IEG. :) - SIW
Why did Moaning Myrtle say she was the only one Draco could talk to? Surely he didn't tell her about his activities.
It was sweet of Pansy to tell that Draco had been her first kiss. :) I like how Draco tries to impress Pansy and that he is jealous of Entwhistle--typical boyfriend reaction there.
Fabulous chapter. (As I'm beginning to understand, all of your chapters are awesome!) Kudos!
Author's Response: Well, Moaning Myrtle was a bit delusional about her 'connection' with Draco. Remember what she told Harry? "We had lots in common. I'm sure he felt it..." (HBP p462 US) No, Draco didn't tell her about his activities, but she did see him crying and knew something was bothering him. While Draco should really be in his seventh year, he's stuck being a DE, and Entwhistle thinks he's moving in on Pansy. No, Draco can't be very happy about that. lol Thanks for the nice comments, IEG! I appreciate them. - SIW
It's nice to hear Draco explain everything that happened. I knew he couldn't do it. I like the bit about how he could tell that Dumbledore was impressed. Lol. That's a great Draco touch.
Great job!
Author's Response: As the story unfolds, IEG, you will find out more about what Draco is up against. Too bad Draco couldn't use his powers for more productive pursuits in his sixth year. Thanks for staying with me. :) SIW
Oh, I'm so glad they've found a way to keep people from invading their minds and finding out about it!
I hope that flash of blue light wasn't anything bad.
I am absolutely loving your plot and characters. Great work!
Author's Response: IEG, that bushy headed Gryffindor isn't the only smart witch around. *smirks* Thanks for continuing to read and review. It means a lot to me. - SIW
I wonder if the family protections on the stone void any betrothal made without the approval of the family. Hmm...
I reckon they can thank the pendant for that last bit.
What a yummy chapter! Great job!
Author's Response: Hi, IEG. There's an incredible connection between the two: they've known each other well since year one; they are truly in love, Pansy has the aptitude for that undeveloped magical skill, they are betrothed--bound magically and of course, the mysterious pendant. It all worked together to bring them even closer. They are going to need this bonding with what's coming up for them. Thanks for reading! - SIW
*squee* It was a great chapter! I'm so excited that they've made the betrothal oath, but I'm afraid of how it will turn out, what with Voldemort expecting Draco to marry Bunny.
And! Snape! Wow, I'm so excited about him too. He's a great little side character you've got going. I can't wait to find out his secret and how he's going to help Draco and whether he's good or bad.
Also, Draco's comment to Dobby about it helping Harry Potter. Eek! I always new there was some good in Draco! So, are both Draco and Snape secret agents or something? *is excited*
Great descriptions on everything!
Author's Response: Squee to your review! Yes, they really do love each other, but they face unbelievable odds. Draco just said that Harry Potter thing to manipulate Dobby at that moment; however, as you read on you will see it's not entirely a lie. *wink* I hope you continue to enjoy it! - SIW
Ooooh, I wonder who told Pansy not to cry at the end!
Poor Pansy. All the bad things happen to her, it seems. I hope it's not what it looks like and that Draco isn't going to marry this Bunny girl.
It's a great chapter!
Author's Response: This chapter is Poor Pansy, IEG. Just remember: she is the Sorceress of Slytherin! Thanks for reading! - SIW
Oh! How awkward it would have been for Pansy when Madame Pomfrey came in!
I liked the scenes with Pansy's mother--particularly when her mom tries to use Legilimens on her. You had Pansy's reaction down perfectly.
Is Entwhistle a transfer student? And how did you pick the name Fefnir for the cruppy?
Oh! And I really liked the descriptions of Pinkie. It sounds just like Pansy to dress her house-elf fashionably, even if it is in a pillowcase, lol.
Author's Response: Pansy is in bad shape in this chapter, IEG. Her mother knows more than she let on, but she also knows Pansy needs to find the strength within herself to move on. Kevin Entwhistle is a character that JKR has on her original master student listing, but was not in the books. (I made him a pure-blood in this story.) Fefnir (aka Fafnir) is a famous dragon of Norse mythology. Pinkie is definitely one of the most fashionable house-elves in Britain. lol Thanks for your lovely comments. - SIW
Your portrayal of Pansy is truly strong in this chapter. I am nervous about several things for them—first and foremost, of course, being the fact that they slipped up and forgot to protect themselves! Eeek! I am also quite worried about who those dinner guests might be, hmm. It’s wonderful that Draco wants to protect her on every level, but right now he’s just not seeing that his commitment to Voldemort is the one thing that makes her vulnerable, by the fact that it takes him away from her and threatens to expose her to the very ugly side of life. I don’t think her parents would allow her to go the Malfoy Manor, and I think Pansy is being very forthright, heroic, and true to herself when she refuses to go as a Death Eaters wife. Slughorn as Voldemort's spy? I can see that and the possibilities are wonderful. Which brings up a curious bit of foreshadowning perhaps--the usefulness of that tunnel and her care in making sure those password spells don't get lost. You are making me wonder...
Oh, and I love the idea of Draco playing profession Quidditch, as I am sure you well know!
Author's Response: You are so right, RVC, about the risks of Draco's enslavement to Voldemort. He needs Pansy desperately, but he's putting her in danger everytime he see's her. But she's his future, and he is going to make sure he doesn't lose her. Pansy is no fool. As much as she loves Draco, she knows that there is a possiblity that she could lose him to Voldemort's cause. She knows she must press forward with her studies, doing something productive, or she will go insane. Thanks for your constant support. *hugs* - SIW
That was a great chapter, i really love this story so keep it coming
Author's Response: Hi, Wilson! Thanks for letting me know you are enjoying the story. I am working on the next chapter, as well as a few other stories, but this one is my first priority. - SIW
'Precarious' isn't the right word! That was downright scary. I must admit to being a bit miffed at Draco for leaving her like that, poor thing? I was holding my breath until she got back to her room. You've portrayed her despair so very well. Kevin is awfully tempting, though, isn't he? So strong, so there, unlike Draco. I think she's a wise witch to consider Narcissa's plight as being one that her future may well hold. These are desperate times for Pansy. If she only knew what Draco was enduring! Looking forward to those future chapters!
Author's Response: Poor Pansy! You are right, RVC, she never wants to be like Narcissa, waiting to see if Draco will come home alive or if he will be captured like Lucius. A lesser witch would never be able to deal with this, but overall Pansy is strong and powerful; she's just vulnerable to Draco and their cruel situation. Thanks for the wonderful comment! - SIW
That was just lovely. I felt awful for Pansy, waiting for Draco. It was very romantic for Draco to come to her bedroom at night - wonderful!
Author's Response: Hi, Quidditch3. I really need to have a picture done for that scene; it's one of my favorites, and I'm happy you liked it too. Thanks for commenting! - SIW
Poor Pansy, I know how it feels to be waiting for someone so eagerly whilst they never show up. My mother never showed up at the mall the other day :/ lol. Well I love this story so much and have been following since the very beginning. Update soon!
Author's Response: Hi, LTL. Yes, that's a horrible feeling on so many levels. Thank you for letting me know you are enjoying the story. - SIW
Oh, SeaIsleWitch, this is wonderful. I love your description of the mission, including how Voldemort laid out all the plans for the others and the others memorizing their parts so that things would go smoothly. Your decription of the action at the Hospital was very good--I felt as though I could see everything.
It's chilling to think about Voldemort doing something akin to running a breeding operation for the Purebloods. However will Draco get out of this one? Is there something going on between Snape and Narcissa? Between Voldemort and Bella? Hmm.
Author's Response: LOL! Well, Bellatrix has always been very devoted to Voldemort, and he does seem to have a soft sport for her...maybe. * Poor Naricissa has been without a lover for so long now! Over 18 months! Snape is there, protecting them in one way or another, and he's been getting regular baths lately too, so you never know. Although, if Lucius were to get out today, Snape would be out of the picture. * Pure-blood stud Draco is just the type of poster boy Volde needs. Imagine a family of ten blonde pure-bloods picnicing in the English countryside. A Muggle dares to come near, but a new Voldeminstry Muggle Repelling Hex blasts him off his feet, and he flies 50 feet backward. Ah...that's the life. * I worked hard on Draco's mission, so I'm happy to hear it worked for you. There will be more DE action in future chapters. Thanks, RVC, for your lovely comments. - SIW
A truly beautiful chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you! - SIW
Beautiful first chapter. I can't wait until Draco comes back and things get going for them again.
Author's Response: Oh, thank you! I hope you will continue to read. (I've just revised chapters 1 -5.) SIW
This chapter is so powerful, moving, and disturbing! Millie’s attack on Pansy was just vicious. It makes me wonder if somehow she hasn’t wanted all along to say those things, and may even hope that Draco finds out (though there’s no way she knows about him being there). I love, however, how Millie’s misguided actions seems to have strengthened both Pansy’s and Draco’s feelings for one another. I suppose that there are forces to be dealt with outside as well as within their sanctum.
There are so many lovely sensory images here, as when her ears popped on the descent down the tunnels and the way that the caves looked. As for those tunnels leading from Snape’s quarters—how sneaking of Draco to have figured out that he could use them for his own purposes! Love those incantations. It breaks my heart that they were once again ripped apart from one another, and just as things were very much going Pansy’s way. I hope they aren’t separated for long!
Author's Response: Oh, RVC, thanks for such a well thought out comment! Squee! (lol) Pansy seems so weak to Millie right now, so she thinks Pansy needs her guidence. You are right, there have been times in the past where Millicent wished she could best Pansy, but she said way too much this time. I don't think Pansy is going to let her get away with that, do you? *smirks* As hard as it is to believe, Millie's heart is in the right place. She wants her friend to move on from Draco and be happy with a new wizard, just as she is with Wayne. Yes, I agree that Pansy and Draco are stronger because of what happened with Millicent. They truly love one another. I've been wanting to write this chapter for so long now, but I had to wait until the right time. It seems just like Snape to have bided his time at Hogwarts wisely. *wink* Poor Pansy. She is really getting the worst of all of this, isn't she? Draco better come up with something soon! Thanks again, for reading and commenting, RVC. I truly appreciate it. - SIW
Hi, I haven't been online for a while. This story is so lovely...but also sad! Why has he left? I hope, the story continues very soon. Take Care! DG
Author's Response: I was wondering what happened to you! I'm glad your back, DG. Thank you for reading and always reviewing. - SIW
Brilliant! as always i cannot wait for more!
Author's Response: Thank you, ellowyn, for such a nice comment. I'll keep the chapters coming. - SIW
I skimmed through it and its brilliant! I love how you created the characters in cannon. I love their interaction when they are romantic and intimate. A wonderful job in making Draco jealous!
Author's Response: Hi, Quidditch3. Thank you for your kind comments, I truly appreciate them. You will see more of Jealous!Draco in future chapters. - SIW
You know I think I would call this one their sexiest chapter! Your tasteful descriptions of their passionate games and the love they share complement eachother nicely. I really like your use of the ROR as well, you do have a few surprises up your sleeve! It is wonderful to get to read these chapters knowing there is always something new that I had not seen coming. Keep up the good work, my dear friend!
Author's Response: Hi, Lewlin. Oh, good...sexy, yet tasteful is just what I was going for. I'll try my best to keep the surprises coming. Thanks for reading! -SIW
I think Pansy is pregnant. (I hope so) LOL I don't know why I thought of that maybe it was because when she couldn't perform the spell. But anyways keep up the good job!
Author's Response: Hi, Love the Life. LOL! Pansy was able to cast the Contraceptive Charm, so there will be no baby--yet. I'm happy to know that you are enjoying the story, and I hope you will continue to read. - SIW
Yet again the chapters were GREAT! Sorry i haven't reviewed earlier i haven't had the time to really sit down and read, but thanx for the e-mails to let me know! I luv ur stories!!!! Keep up the awesome work! Later
Author's Response: Hi, Pansy. Thanks for letting me know you are still enjoying the story. I appreciate your comments! - SIW
