Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I think Im still crying over the end. I do love 'evil, twisted, murderous, torturing' lucius Malfoy... but to have such a mirrored story like this one grab my heart and make me ... wow, im speechless... let me say I was completely awed, loving this new 'kinder gentler, loving" lucius- and totally sobbing when I realized he passed on, leaving probably the first true two loves of his life. He actually WANTED to change, and ended up losing it. How sad... brilliant story!

what i did like: your writing style and prose, story development and the way each chapter started with a little letter and then the last chapter was a letter. Those were great. What I didn't like: it was so very mary sue, and Lucius was so out of character. Made it too unbelievable. Lucius is not warm and fuzzy! I've read other stories where Lucius does have emotions, but they are foreign to him and a struggle for him and ultimately he cannot give in to them. I can only take a limited amount of out of character traits, and in Lucius' case Mr. Nice Mushy Warm Fuzzy Muggle Lover Devoted Father just pushes too far into the realm of Mary Sue-ism. Good writing tho, and of course, only my own two cents worth of honest critique, not criticism.

Loved your Fred and George interpretations. I rarely read OC fanfics, but you sucked me in with the first chapter and keep the interest rolling until the bittersweet end. Well done! Author's Response: I'm sorry if it wasn't clear. Lucius died bravely, according to the Weasleys, in the final battle.
