Hi! I read this fic yesterday, but I didn't have time to review! Let me tell you how much I liked this one-shot. It was original (one of the most original Lucius/Hermione I have ever read). You know how much I adore this pairing, and I hope you write a multi-chaptered fic about it! I'm sure it would turn out perfect ;)

This was very sad, but bittersweet at the same time. It's horrible that Draco and Hermione weren't allowed any more time together, but at the same time, I'm glad that she and Lucius found peace together and more importantly that they grew to love each other. Well done!

I have to say I am a bit disappointed, I have always enjoyed your stories, but this one left me feeling as if something was missing. The first half was fine, the latter part felt rushed (for lack of a better word).
*I do know what you mean about pairing Severus or Hermione with someone else, almost like they are cheating on each other* :)
Author's Response: I know! LOL I used to always feel so guilty when I'd pair either of them with someone else. Teehee. I wrote this years ago. It's definitely not perfect, but I'll not be polishing it up or adding any more to it. It's why I put that note warning people away and saying that it was very fast moving. Sometimes I'm in the mood for something quick and like to let people fill in the blanks for themselves--not often, but sometimes. Teehee.

This is not one of my favorites of yours. It's not up to your usual high standard. Maybe it is just me, but it feels too...contrived. I really liked the idea of them both getting letters from Draco, and his premonition that his days were numbered. But it just seemed out of character for a recently-engaged young man to be pawning off his fiancee on his recently-widowed father. Disrespectful all around, which was not what you were going for! So, a sweet idea, but the execution did not work for me. Too forced. I could have accepted it if he had asked his father to look after her and no more. I hate leaving negative reviews, but I guess I am in a scathingly honest mood at the moment - my apologies! In general, I like your ideas and your writing.
Author's Response: I don't mind in the least that you didn't like it. Some people don't, which is why I placed a warning before the text of the chapter to warn off those who may dislike it (fast paced, characterisms, and content). I thought that would be enough to ward off anyone who doesn't like those things.
This was something that I wrote years back, and I've only just now posted it, hoping someone might enjoy passing a little time with a LM/HG story. But, truly, I know not everyone would appreciate it, but there are some that do, so I'll go ahead and leave it up for them. :) Thanks!

Author's Response: Thanks, I'm happy you liked it. I wrote this about three years ago maybe, and I do wish I'd put more time into it, but I couldn't bring myself to edit it further. Many of my older stories are all fast-paced, fun, even fluffy, one shots. Teehee. I'm quite happy you liked it though. Thanks.
