*wails* How could you leave it there?! I've had to re-read this half-a-dozen times to see if I could figure out who the three men are. Don't tell me yet! I'm still thinking.
his skin tainted by soap This little phrase caught my eye. It made me stop and think about what you were saying in the rest of the sentence. Which made me reconsider the meaning of the whole paragraph.
I think this is a lovely piece of writing. Thank you for sharing it.
