Very different; not quite what we would have expected for Lavender. But she's a Gryffindor, and not lacking in courage, although her rather wry sense of humour is a nice touch.

Thanks for the review.
The last we see of Lavender in DH, she's being saved by Hermione after falling from a balcony. all of my stories take place along the same timeline, and the scarred and scared Lavender in Tales of the battle is also this Lavender.

You seem to be an exceptional writer. I started reading this as the prequel to Moon and got lost in it. Great job! ^_^
Author's Response:
Thanks for the compliment. I seem to give Lavender a hard time in my stories. The "vampire story" referred to at the end is locked in my head, because I already have too many chaptered fics unfinished. -N-
I think this is the third story of yours I've read today. This was as wonderful as the first two. I feel so sad for Lavender though. You've done a very good job of making me feel what she's feeling. I also have a big nasty looking scar across my abdomen but I'm older and probably better about pretending it doesn't matter:) I also think that Lavender is being too hard on herself, although I think a lot of women have that problem. Again, such a wonderful story. I've enjoyed my evening with you:D
Author's Response:
Thanks.
I wrote this story a year ago, and I woied a lot during the writing. I'm a bloke, so: a first person pov story from the perspective of a female, on the morning after a one night stand, in which she is either naked or in her underwear for most of the story. That could have been a disaster! I should thank my beta, Natalie, for her reassurance.
I agree with your assessment of Lavender. certainly my Lavender. But this story spawned various sequels and prequels and I eventually give her a happy(ish) ending.
Thanks again for the reviews and I hope that you enjoy my other stories too. Everything I write fits into one big future for the Potter characters.
