Fantastic, and painfully convincing. I agree with you, this is a fine stand-alone, but I'd still like to see a sequel.
It's a beautiful little bittersweet piece. I agree that it's definitely worth continuing with should you wish to. The note of hope at the end is perfect.
Author's Response: Thank you very much! I'm so glad you enjoyed. :)
Excellent story! Carefully plotted, with a strong ending, A gem of a short story!
Author's Response: Thank you very much! I'm so happy you liked it. :)
That was wonderful. Are you going to continue with it?
Author's Response: Thank you! I don't know about continuing it; I don't have any ideas -- I wrote this for a challenge and it was basically all I wanted to say. But if I ever get an idea in the future, I certainly will. Cheers!
Gadzooks, that was an incredible story!!! All the little pieces came together perfectly in the end. Thanks for ending on a note of hope. Maybe being reunited with Ron will help Hermione recover and get back to her underground work, maybe they can go to another country. [BTW, why did Snape try to get on a boat to France, instead of using a Portkey? The Portkey sounds safer, since that's how Neville got Hermione to Grimmauld.]
Author's Response: Thank you very much for reviewing! Snape tried to get on a boat because he was in a similar position as Hagrid in OoTP -- trying to avoid using magic. Neville could take a Portkey because he was not being watched by anyone. Cheers!
