You should have had it say VOLDERMORT DEAD, as a sign that people weren't afraid of him anymore. Good story. (Did I already review it?)

Author's Response: I can't see the Wizarding World changing that quickly; people will still be calling him You-Know-Who for decades. Thanks for the review! (And, yes, but you'll hear no complaints from me. ;-))

E-mail this story to Rowling. I don't care how many laws you have to break to get her e-mail address, just GET IT TO HER!!! The "official" Potterverse cannot go unchanged by the sheer and utter greatness of this tale! It must be made part of the seventh book! (Even if you did write it for sixth year.)

Author's Response: Thanks for the review, and I'm glad you enjoyed the story. I actually got the original idea from The Changeling Hypothesis over at Red Hen, so it's hardly original to me.

Well I just finished the story "learning to vanquish". I found it very entertaining and hope you have written more storys.

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it. The original story and some others are here under my user name; I hope you enjoy.

Woah. This was definatly the best fanfiction I have ever read. I sincerly hope you write a sequel, although it seams doubtful because it finished up nicely. I'm looking out for your other fics. Xo catie oX

Author's Response: Thank you; I'm glad you enjoyed it. As for a sequel, I'm trying to write up an outline for a seventh year fic in the other universe; we'll see how it goes.

This was terrific! I hope you write a sequel. I wish that the actual sixth book was like this. The characters are very believable, the new concepts of yours are awe inspiring, and, well, I just LOVED this.

Author's Response: Thank you very much; I'm glad you enjoyed it. A sequel is planned, but it will be in the other universe.

This is by far the best series I have read. It is very believable, and seems like I should be reading it in a book. lol. I do hope that you will continue, for I would like to see how Harry handles being a 'normal' kid. :) But again, amazing job. I was enthralled, and stayed up till almost 3am to finish. :P

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the story. I am writing a sequel, but in the other universe. And I know exactly what you mean about staying up to finish; I'm very guilty of the same thing. Thanks for your kind words.

I just wanted to tell you how much ! enjoyed this story. I was sad to see it end! And i really enjoyed your Severus. He was still stiff and rude and just well, Severus! But you also made him human and more likeable while still keeping him in cannon. You did a fantastic job!

I was reading your review responses and a seventh year fic taking place in the other uinverse sounds fantastic! I was left with all kinds of questions about the other universe. We were only shown a brief glimpse of how the people in it related to each other.

Would "our" Harry travel to the other universe to take his seventh year? If so, he could still use the mirrors to comunicate with the people in "our" Hogwarts so we would still have a glimpse of how they were doing while "our" Harry was away.

Also, I wonder what it would be like for Severus to meet his other self. If that is even possible...could "our" Severus meet wth the other Sirius and James and finally have the chance to release some of the hatred that weighs on his soul?

Author's Response: Thank you for your review. Severus is a lot of fun to write, especially if you're keeping him snarky. :-) As far as the year 7 novel, what I do with it will depend on HBP. Although I've got a few ideas, I refuse to even consider plotting it until I've read the new book. One thing I won't be doing: there won't be any physical travel between the universes. As the mirror is still there, they can talk, but they can't visit. Thanks again. (And I hope it posts this time.)

Author's Response: Thank you! It was a lot of fun to write. I can't wait until HBP comes out so we have new canon to play with.

No, no, you can't end here!!!! What about the other Severus, Harry, etc. - and does THIS Severus become a happier person now that the war is truly over. Did Severus know Harry was watching through his link - how did Voldemort know Severus was a traitor - what about the werewolves who helped Voldy - the lycanthropy cure - the Azkaban prisoners held forcibly by Voldy .... Epilogue?? (reader wheedles) This is a wonderful story, and I thank you for writing and posting it!!!!

Author's Response: Thank you for the kind review. I'm considering writing either an epilogue or Year 7 in the other universe. (I could answer the biggest questions indirectly that way.) As with all my best ideas, I was starting to think about this in the shower after I posted 15. (Go read Shadowycat's In the Shower on this site for where the plot bunnies come from. ;-))

So Harry didn't tell Albus or Severus that his headaches got worse when Draco is near? I still hope there's a way to make sure no one else can use Harry's ring - when Severus noticed Harry's ring was off during the Apparation lesson, I was half expecting he'd dropped it in the forest! Thanks for updating!

Author's Response: He mentioned the headaches to Dumbledore after the first one; since he's actually talking to the adults here, I assumed he was giving them updates.

I just wanted to let you know that I've really enjoyed reading this story so far, as well as the one before it. I like your version of Harry, and I especially like the way you've humanized Snape (sorry, Professor Snape!). I look foward to reading the rest of it.

Author's Response: As even JKR has stated, Snape isn't a nice man. However, from the little bits and pieces we've seen of his past, I can't help feeling sorry for the poor git and I'd like to see him have an easier time of it. So, that's what I wrote. Thank you for your review and I'm glad you're enjoying the story.

Could Harry put his memory of Voldemort's office into a Pensieve, so others can see for themselves and try to identify the werewolves? I hope there's a way to charm Harry's ring so it cannot be removed and put on anyone else's hand! Thanks for updating! I'm glad Severus knows about the rings.

Author's Response: The Pensieve idea didn't occur to me (Remus could probably have identified them). You have an interesting idea about Harry's ring. ;-)

Another great chapter, and I'll be especially happy when chapters 13-15 are back from your beta and up. I think, in the last chapter, it was easy to see how everyone would be afraid of Harry believing he wouldn't survive, and reacting the way they did, yet, it must have been terribly hard on him. Having Sirius to talk to, and agreeing with Harry that it was a possibility, probably helped him more than all the knee jerking no reactions everyone else displayed.

<~~~ eager to see more.

Author's Response: Chapter 13 should be submitted tonight. In canon, I only give Harry a 50% chance of surviving through Book 7. After I wrote everyone else's reactions, I realized he needed someone with a more realistic view. (And I think most of the Order, etc, would be horrified at the thought of Harry believing he was likely to die.) Thanks for the review. I hope you enjoy the last three chapters.

I've just read all 11 chapters so far, and I love the story. I like your DADA teacher, he's different to all the others we've had so far. Is Harry going to reach any conclusions soon about what he wants to do with his future? Harry not expecting to survive is very interesting, I can imagine the odds seeming overwhelming.

Author's Response: I suspect that Harry will be worrying about his survival in HBP; it just seems like what he'd be feeling. Harry won't reach any final conclusions, but I think he'll be narrowing the field. (Although JKR will probably go that way if Harry does survive, I don't think Auror is the best career choice for him. Thanks for the review; I'm glad you're enjoying the story.

Author's Response: Considering what Harry now knows, his future possibilities must look quite bleak. But he's not one to give up. I had fun with the DADA teacher. It's one of the characters that are always different, so there's room to be very creative. Thanks for your review.

Very good chapter! Yes, Harry's resignation to death is certainly disturbing for his teachers and friends (thought he might be right). Still, forcing himself to believe he can live does have real value. I look forward to the update.

Author's Response: I quite agree. Harry's problem is that he's been trained for years that his needs are less important than everyone else's--including his need for survival. At the same time, I suspect his attitude is a realistic one, poor kid. Thank you for reviewing. Chapter 12 is being beta'ed and chapter 13 is in process.

The smartest and best Weasley line ever: We’re not in it because of you; we’re in it because it’s right. Yes! Now if Harry can just keep listening to Severus.... Those rings Hermione made are plain scary - she, Ron, Ginny could be weakened and helpless if things went wrong. Will this story go all the way to Voldemort's death? Thanks for updating!

Author's Response: Has Harry ever listened to Snape? He is taking the training seriously, though, so there's hope for them all. The rings are powerful magic, and will be treated as such. Yes, if something goes wrong, they could be left unconscious; in fact, they could be killed with them. This story will go to the end of sixth year and things will be settled; more than that, however, will spoil the ending. Thank you for reviewing; and I'm glad you're enjoying it.

I love this story to bits! Something about your DADA professor strikes me as familiar. Is it the initials, or the way he keeps polishing his glasses? Does he wear tweed in his spare time I wonder? I'll be Watching him, that's for sure!

And has anyone told Dumbledore and Snape that the DADA teacher is biased against Muggleborns? Dumbledore and Snape also know that Draco is going on "family business" on those Quarter and Cross-Quarter days? Now I really do wonder if the other side's Voldemort has crossed over, to use Draco's body or Harry's. Very scary! Thanks for the new chapter.

Author's Response: I will say that the other universe's Tom Riddle; his soul isn't universe-walking. (A good plot idea, just not the direction I was thinking.) As far as Draco goes, we'll see more. (If I say much more, I give things away.)
