Wow! That was really good! I enjoyed reading your story a whole lot, it was funny, dramatic, romantic, and almost tear-jerking at points. I hope you had as much fun writing this as i did reading it. Xo catie oX

Hi! First... It's been a week that I've wanted to read this story, but I didn't find time before. The first thing that attracted my attention was, of course, the name of the characters, and the fact that the story was rated PG. It's good to see that there's not always strong sexual contents in the stories. I like when the stories are really close to the Harry Potter's universe described by Rowling. Ok... My comments while I'm reading: I really like the allusion of "Jane Eyre." This is one of my favourite books! [quote]"He grinned “that grin” again -- that insufferable, Quidditch-star, coolness-of-cool grin that Lily found so admirably, and lovingly – infuriating!"[end of quote] : nice sentence! ^^ I find it very romantic that Remus reads poetry to Lily. Nice way to find a name for her future child with James! Moving relationship between Lily and Remus. So... something is licking Lily's foot? *laughing when I realise it's a stag ^___^* (naughty James ^^). That's funny that Lily has a discussion with a stag! I really like James' letters, and his poem! Very touching! [quote]"Know this, Lily Evans -- I love you so much that when I think on it, and close my eyes, I feel like, for a moment in time, I can fly. Wait, I can fly. On a broomstick. Quite well, too at that. Ha ha."[end of quote] Touching, and funny!!! [quote]"James reached up a hand and fingered the remaining antlers. “Oops. Blast, I make that mistake all the time.”"[end of quote] Very amusing too! And the part before (the end of the letter), and the part after (the proposal are very, very romantic!) And the dive within the lake is very funny too! Just one or two things I noticed: [quote]"Mum gave it to me last summer when I er… I told her I wanted to… er… that I was going to…”"[end of quote]. James started to date Lily in seventh year (it was mentioned by Sirius and Lupin in OoTP), so they weren't together the previous summer. It also seemed rather odd to me that Narcissa Black and Lily Evans were friends. But maybe it's just me. Anyway, that story was really good and really touching. If you want more reviews, maybe you should post it on "fictionalley" (http://www.fictionalley.org/). Since it's a one-shot story, you could post it in "Astronomy Tower," I think. Just a suggestion. There are unfortunately few readers on Lumos, and that drives to despair. And your story is very good, so I think it is unfair that you just have two reviews! Cheers! ~Arwen999~ (French)

This was a really nice story. Sad, of course, in that we know what's going to happen to Lily, but she does indeed get her Harry, if only for a little while. I'm glad she's a fan of Jane Eyre! (Good taste!) I was surprised by Narcissa ... that would make an interesting story, as well. Well, thanks for writing!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! What a great first review for Lumos! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
