i don't know why but the line "you will be learning it from Sirius and Remus." really got me. i was in hysterical tears! i don't think there was any particular reason for it other than that harry never really did see either of them. i think they would both have been fantastic sort-of-uncles.
This is really wonderful. I look forward to more. It would be nice to know how Harry finally finds them - Aunt Petunia or with Dumbledore's things?
Did you say a handkerchied was necessary? Well, you were right. I definetely needed one. I write a diary, which is supposed to reach my baby daughter's hand when she is 15 (she is 2 now). I don't have any health problem (thank goodness), but, well, anything can happen...

Author's Response: Yes, as a mother I did this ... however, I was inspired to write these letters by a friend who died of Cancer a few years back. She had been Cancer free five years when she discover she was expecting. Unfortunately, she did not remain Cancer free ... wanting to be a part of her childs life she wrote letters for Wedding, birthdays, Dating etc. I miss her and this is my way of honoring her.
heart wrenching and so so like a mother's heart
thank you

I never would of thought to do this story. I wish you were doing this some other way than letters. Nevertheless, very nicely done.
I can't believe no one has submitted a review for your story yet! Well, I'm glad I get to be the first. I love this idea, it's something I've never read before and you have handled it well. I look forward to reading more letters!
