I did like this story but I'm a little curious. Was this before Sirius escaped Azkaban, or is this an AU? I'd just think that, given how Remus loved Sirius and vice-versa, he would fight to the end to keep his faith in Sirius' innocence. I must admit, however, that I have read so much fan fiction since the 5th potter book...somehow that has made me forget what (in Rowlings pov) happened, lol. So, on that note, if my review seems off, I do apologise and blame my lust affair with potterfic!! I did love the letter. It was very moving and full of great detail- without being too detailed. Thats the sign of a great author! Can't wait to read more of your stories! -Cerridwen
Author's Response: Thanks for all your nice comments! I envision this as taking place pretty soon after James and Lily's deaths, and after Sirius is imprisoned. Remus states clearly in POA that he hasn't "been Sirius's friend for thirteen years" - ie since the deaths of James and Lily.
I know what you mean about trying to separate fanon and canon - they're easily confused sometimes! Anyway, thank you very much for your lovely comments :).
