Yay Neville! Will I sound like a wimp if I admit that I started to cry when Neville told his gran that he was leaving school? This is fantastic. Thanks!
Thanks for these snapshots of Neville's life from his PoV! I adore Neville, and I'm glad to see someone writing about him! Favorites: his reaction to his Sorting, his standing up to his grandmother, the ending *sniff*. Great job!
I think I read most of these over on your LJ but I wanted to come over here and have a reread. I love these little insights into Neville's life - very poignant and interesting :)
Author's Response: Thanks, araminta! I can't wait until the semester and my piles of grading are done with so that I can come back to Neville! (And I'm working on continuing my Narcissa/Snape story too!) So many stories, so little time.
I really enjoyed these! I think Neville is one of the most underrated characters in the whole series. He is set up very well to factor in the final battle with the trio, and I think you captured that beautifully with the last two drabbles. Thanks.
Author's Response: Thank you! I agree with your assessment of Neville and, like you, look forward to seeing him have a significant role in book 7. We can hope anyway!
You've captured Neville's self-effacing bravery so well. I particularly liked his first reaction to Hogwarts and his standing up to gran. Hope to see more from you.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the encouragement!
I love how you've reinterpreted some of his "mishaps" through his eyes. The idea that he took flight that first lesson before anyone else, and found joy in it is a brilliant insight!! I love it that he finds a kindred spirit in Prof. Sprout. I agree that his grandmother really expects great things from him, though it may not be apparent. The pride and pain at seeing his parents is just what we would expect--he realizes how powerful and brave they were and that they sacrificed so much for him and the world at large. So cool that Neville would be the one to help Harry in the Final Battle. It would be so perfect if it really happened this way--vindication for his parents' sacrifices. Well done!! I think you should keep writing!!
Author's Response: Thank you! I've been really enjoyed your stories, so it's great to hear you like mine, too! (We're all a mutual appreciation fan club!) And I definitely shall keep writing; it's just so much fun! If you'd like to read more of my work, I do have some posted under the same penname over on Mugglenet fan fiction.
Nicely done! I particularly like the one of Neville talking to his grandmother.

Author's Response: Thanks for reading, Lisa! That drabble is actually one of my favorites...not the least because it placed in a weekly challenge over at MN.
This was so sad. Poor Neville. But the ending was very powerful. Neville did his part, all right. You did a wonderful job of providing insight into his character.
Author's Response: Thanks again, K, for reading! I think I do see Neville as a sad figure at times, but hopefully I'll have some happy drabbles to add before long. I'm glad you liked what I have so far! P.S. I've just made the revisions you suggested via e-mail; I appreciate your taking the time to notice and comment.
