I'm here on a rec from harmony_bites and all I can say is WOW! Very intense, very compelling story. I'm not a huge Ginny fan, but your psychological exploration of her life after horrific trauma wrought deep sympathy for her from me. I enjoyed the style and flow of the piece, too ... you didn't "give it all away" at once, but slowly built intricate levels, leaving the reader questioning what was real until the very end. Excellent story.

Author's Response: Thank you! :)

I am going to have to agree with Ms. Krystal below, and only say that Kobe Grace takes her plot onto a higher level literary and emotionally. The darker side, both more wanton and more divine, is reached in this fiction with ease and grace. The plot takes the reader in an adventurous ride of the sort never fully reached before. We are given a taste of happiness to entice us to let our defenses down. We are given warning signs that we don’t want to pay mind to, because to do so would be killing the illusion of a happily ever after. Under the mercy of an iron pen we are stuck down and crumble with the antagonist as she rages against her own mind. This passages use effective literary devices such as imagery, alliterations, anaphora’s, irony, hyperbole, informal diction and motif set it a cut above the rest. Starting such a fast paced heart wrenching story ‘In Medias Res’ was the perfect way to structurally prepare the reader for this anta rage of flashbacks. She took This two dimensional character and metamorphic her into a fully rounded character with depth and pain that touches all. Truly spectacular job Kobe!

This shell shocker of a fiction sent shivers sown my spine the first time I red it- and I was compelled, by forces unknown, to re-read it a second time to make sure I had sucked everything out of it that I could. Delicious, this fiction was sinfully appealing to the darker side of readers that crave this kind of action and don’t find it in the HP books. Kobe Grace goes into the sadistic realm that JKR isn’t willing to, and she gives you a shadier more divine clump of text to dine upon. There was a malicious ‘Beautiful Mind’ twist that really ensnares you to emotionally attach to Ginny like never before. I found myself applauding the heroin in the end, for surely I would have crawled back into my fantasy world if ever such an ordeal befell me. The style was original to say the least. From the very first passage change you knew there was something else going on and couldn’t read fast enough to quell your ravenous hunger for answers. The description alone was enough to tear me away from my own life and draw me into another all together. The reader becomes willingly submissive to the mercy of the text. I can not do this story justice in any way shape or form, but I do hope by this review I have at least helped. Fantastic job, I enjoyed every word.

Author's Response: It's been 2-3 years since I first published this story, but it's only now that I've gotten the review I've been waiting for. See, you're the first one to hit it right on the mark: YOU, darling, actually "applaud the heroine", and not just sympathise for the victim. I think there's a profound difference between the two, no? And so thank you for picking up on that, Krystal; it's been a long time coming. And thank you, also, for your other kind and flattering words. :)

This was a really powerful, well written story. It had me hooked from the beginning; I had to know what was going on. It pulled me all the way through and was devastating at the end. I just wish you'd get rid of all the author's notes. They are distracting and completely unecessary and really detract from the power and tone of the story.

An incredibly powerful piece of writing, on a heart-crushing subject. When fics featuring rape/torture/mass death-fests are badly written they seem appallingly exploitative, but the level of your literary skills overcame any distastefulness. I'll be adding this fic to my favourites, but I don't plan on putting myself through reading it again any time soon! I was wondering if you were inspired by the BtVS episode where it turns out she's actually catatonic in mental institute? Though even if you were, this fic definitely isn't plagarism; it feels very innovative.

Oh gosh, now I have a headache! That was a very interesting read and I had to fight to just keep reading hoping I would understand the more I read...and yes, I did. Thanks for a very interesting read. I am a clinician and the talk-therapy treatment was familiar though having Ginny for a client sounds very exciting! I know that may sound strange, but she is definately not a boring patient.

Amazing and horrendous mixed into a silver platter that "Mrs Potter" doesn't want to escape. Excellent story hope to hear more.

I don't really know what to say, but I wanted you to know that I read this. This was very well written and the attention to detail, immaculate. I can't say I enjoyed it as I'm horrified after reading it... but, that's the intent, no? This was very powerful and I can even agree with you on the H/G 2gether 4ever bit ;)
