Very cool fic. Love the ditty. “Yes, daydreams really do come true, And I always knew, I’d be a great Mary Sue! All right, Hermione, you little bitch, You’d best watch out; there’s a new wicked witch!”

Author's Response: I'm usually not a fan of Mary Sues, but I think at the basic level we all kind of wish we could slip some magic in our everyday lives. Thank you for the review, Anodyne!

Hahahahaha, you should do a follow up, about what happens when she goes to work for him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review, Seph. I've been thinking about what would happen next, attempting to inject science into the potions lab. Could be fun!

So very very funnY! I laughed until I cried. Please do more!

Author's Response: Thanks, Cat Lady. Though I am sorry we made you cry ;-> I don’t know if hubby and I could write more, but we may.

Very funny and well done. Chock full of original ideas. I've read quite a few were-creature stories, but I can safely say this is the only were-dinoflagellate lab-thriller I've ever read. I wouldn't mind a sequel featuring this beast (if Manny can be persuaded to co-operate.)

Author's Response: Wow, does this mean we’ve invented a new genera -- the were-dinoflagellate-lab-thriller? Hmmm, though I could have sworn that we removed all actual dino references. ;-> I’m not sure if Manny would be too happy with a sequel, though perhaps he could have a relapse or two. And I just can’t believe that Susan will be able to stay out of trouble. Thank you for the review, Bugmenot. I’m glad you enjoyed it.

that was hilarious! i love those ridiculous google ads. great job.

Author's Response: Google does have some unbelievable ads, but this one was really too good for the plot-bunnies to pass up. Thanks for the review lilmissslytherin, I’m glad you found our little tale funny.

That was a joy to read! Thank you for sharing such a fun ficlet. :)

Author's Response: It was actually quite a lot of fun to write, but we didn’t know if anyone else would really find it funny… so I’m glad you enjoyed it. :-> Thank you for the sweet review, Lana.

Complete silliness. I kepty giggling as I read this, thinking, "Yeah, that's me. Lost in daydreams about Snape." Truly brilliantly funny and inspired! BRAVA!!! Really well done, a nice mix of reality and fantasy.

Author's Response: Wow, Betz, thanks for the enthusiastic review! Hubby was actually a lot of fun to write with on this, putting in all the stuff of what disasters happen when magic mixes with science. And somehow it wasn’t too hard of a stretch to write about someone daydreaming of Snape when they should be working… hmmm, wouldn’t know why! ;-)

Extremely entertaining and hilarious! I would love to see how the intership worked out!

Author's Response: Thanks, redvelvetcanopy, for the nice review. I don’t know if we will actually do a follow-up, but I can just imagine Susan trying to seduce poor Snape, all the while she is causing extreme chaos throughout Hogwarts by messing around with magic and Muggle science. :->

LMAO!!! I, too, work in a lab (skincare, but I prefer to think of it as "potions"). I, too, have surreptitiously pulled up Snape sites, Potterfic, etc while waiting for my HPLC runs to finish. I, too, (just the other day, in fact) have looked longingly at my glass stirring rod, hoping against hope I could use it to AK the stupid HPLC because it is always malfunctioning. And of course, I too, have fantasized that one day, Severus himself will apparate right behind me in the lab whilst I am mixing up our latest batch of body wash, and seductively show me the CORRECT way to mix it. * Sigh*... Great story!!

Author's Response: “My dear Miss Rab, you should know that you only use AK on those pesky humans that annoy you; here, let me show you a far more *appropriate* curse for a stubborn HPLC!” ;-) Yes, I have often wished Snape would just pop in behind me and whisper in my ear some useful curse or magic way to make whatever I am fussing over actually work. Hubby may tease me about it, but I think many of us have our own little Snape fantasies. Thanks for the great review, and best of luck with your ‘potions research’!

And as I am an honest Puck, If we have une'rned luck, Then to 'scape the serpent's tongue, we shall make amends, ere long, Else the Puck a liar call, So good night unto you all, So give me your hands if we be friends, And Robin shall restore amends. That's my favorite passage :-P

Author's Response: Wow, I didn’t expect anyone to be able to complete the quote! My husband and I also love that quote, and it just seemed the perfect way to sum up the entire piece. A bit of an apology, if you like, for the bizarre mixture of magic and the real world. Thanks for the review, Jack Magic.

I absolutely LOVED your mixing the real world with the HP world. How many of us were completely bored at work and googled at one time or another? This was very original and brilliantly funny!

Author's Response: Thank you, BloodyBrilliant, for the nice review. I hate to admit how many times I’ve either Googled, or daydreamed about some piece of fic while a work. The two of them together do horrible things to one’s productivity. And I hate to imagine the consequences of Harry Potter magic suddenly let loose at work one day!

This story is way too funny! The pyrex wand with its voodoo whisker core , and the green algae lab-wolf are certainly orginal. Alas, i also tried to google, but only came up with the action figure. Apperantly voldemort has gone more underground with his recruiting now that he has his own line of plastic mind control dolls of doom, hopefully with karate chop action.

Author's Response: Well, the last time I tried to Google “Lord Voldemort” it just tried to sell me autographed pictures of Ralph Fiennes, but still no more job offers. We do actually have a cat we nicknamed ‘Kitty-Bitch’ so the part about her whisker just came naturally. Hmmm, perhaps she would like one of those LV plastic mind control dolls of doom to play with… Thank you for the wonderful review, otherside.

omg, this is hilarious.. especially since i'm a biology student, and going to have my next 6hour lab session tomorrow.. rofl.. i most liked the emails she got afterwards.. and to be honest.. the MOST funny bit, is LabRat's personal note... ROFL... and believe me.. its not just a fine task, but a subtle science and exact art.... lmao.. well done!!

Author's Response: Oh I agree indeed, anneangersbach! Snape-lust is not just a task but also a subtle science, and definitely an exact art. Hubby just wanted to make absolutely sure that everyone knew HE had nothing to do with the Snape lust scene. ;-> I hope you enjoy your next biology lab! Thanks for the review. ~Wolf

Hogwarts Technical Apprenticeship in Potions is currently available, including all appropriate room, board, and… other compensations. Okay, sign me up. I've been thinking of going back to school anyway.

Author's Response: All right, and what a way to go back to school! Yes, the ending is in many ways the ultimate in dream fulfillment, but it was just too much fun to pass up. :-) Thanks for the review, KarenDetroit

That was brilliant. You are left until the end wondering if this was really happening. Now we see why the magic and scientific worlds don't mix, generally. But what a happy ending :D Very origional, despite the protestations of your hysterical disclaimer.

Author's Response: Thank you Pigwidgeon! It was originally supposed to end as dream, but since we were being so silly anyway, we decided to let poor Susan actually go Hogwarts. And no, magic and science usually don’t mix well at all, though it would be fun to try! ;->

Ah, that was fantastic! My morning coffee is now up my nose and puddled next to the keyboard :) It left me kind of nostalgic for my chemistry lab days - although, I didn't get any lovely email from Prof Snape. Pity.

Author's Response: A pity indeed! I suspect most of us wish we could get such a letter from Professor Snape. Thanks for the sweet review Somigliana, though I am sorry about your coffee. I’m sure your keyboard won’t appreciate it as much as you would have. :->

I laughed so hard on this I screwed up my voice recognition software and I have to type this in by hand. Well, after I got a towel for my seat. Google something else. Anything else. Thank you!

~Lisa/LariLee

Author's Response: Oh dear, I’m terribly sorry we added to your laundry load. ;-> When I Google ‘Lord Voldemort’ now, it just tries to sell me the Voldy action figures. Ah well, guess it was a one time opportunity. Thank you for the wonderful review, LariLee!
