Chilling!
As a mother of a daughter, your story caused goosepumps to appear on my skin.
how sad that they dont know where they're daughter is!!!!!! poor mrs. granger!!!!! great fic i really liked it
I guessed that it was Emily Granger when I saw what it was that the other women feared. It's ingenious that she would fear owls, probably the most common magical element that she was consistantly exposed to. You really described the plight of the worrying, helpless parently very aptly--I could so identify with her fear for her daughter, and being caught there, in between two worlds, unable to confess her fears to her friends. I think that heightens her distress, not having anyone to share it with. Very nicely done, Jackie
Author's Response: You know how much it means to me when you like my stories, Cyn! I'm glad you liked it, and could identify it a bit. I'll admit, I was worried because, not having any children of my own, I wasn't sure I could get the point of view of a worried parent right. ;)
Wow, powerful stuff. It's something we don't really think about - how the mothers feel. How the MUGGLE parents feel. You bring those fears to life and show the dichotomy of wizard/muggle existence beautifully.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad that the emotions came across. I kept thinking about how it must feel to be so left out of your child's life and so helpless in the face of dangers that she was dealing with, and this just sort of...happened. :)
Fantastic point of view. :D No one ever thinks about what Mr. and Mrs. Granger go through.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
