This is just lovely! I've always been a bit sad when I've considered the possibility that McGonagall is a spinster who's whole life has been spent teaching. I like this alternative much more--that she'd live a full, happy life before she even got there, then embarked upon an adventure of a lifetime!
Author's Response: Ah, thanks for reviewing! This is just a little drabble I did when I used to hang out on the MN fanfiction forums; we actually had a club for Minerva and Albus and liked to speculate about their pasts. Somehow, being a teacher myself, I can't imagine spending one's entire life in the same school (though I know of people who have).... And it just seemed likely that a woman of her generation would have married, esp. in the old fashioned wizarding society. Anyway, I'm glad you liked this! :-D
