I've always maintained that if Harry could never have Ginny, he would easily fall in love with Luna. Both outcasts- one doesn't care what the world thinks of her, and the other really wishes the world didn't care about him. It's well written, and though I'm not entirely convinced Harry is the type to sit around and mope for months on end, the story works well.
