Short but sweet, with a lovely air of melancholy... A hearty congratulations for writing such a wonderful Lumione fic. It was very enjoyable to read! :)

I really loved this. It was sad but beautiful. (Should I dare it, and call it a beautiful sadness?) I wish that you had continued this a little bit more.

OU ou OU! This is a wonderful companion piece. Lucius' POV shows a lot more depth of understanding than I would have given him credit for. I love Hermione's slip into insanity, Severus' anger, just all of it! The world needs more LM/HG

oh...More please! What happens next? I shouldn't like this...but I do! Does she get better when she realizes she will be a mum? Is Lucius a better dad the second time around? I what to know! AH! More please? Great story!

Yay! This was a wonderfully written short, and reading it was a blast. There are too few Lucious/Hermione fics out there. ;)

I loved both parts of this little duet but this one has to be my favourite, simply because it gives an insight into Lucius' mind (Lucius is one of my favourite characters).

Author's Response: Lucius is a very interesting character to write. I don't think he's completely evil, so it's always fun to try and balance that with whatever characteristics that need to be focused on. Thanks for reviewing!

That was sooooo GOOD! U really have a way with words and I always love a good LM/HG romance, especially when it involves a preganat or soon to be Hermione!!! Pleas update soon!

Author's Response: *nods* Thank you, Applekissis. I myself am always up for a good LM/HG romance as well. As for an update, I think this particular series is finished. I wanted to leave some things a mystery. ;)

man, that's a distressing AU. Nicely written and very in-character though. well done.

Author's Response: Oh yeah, it's fun taking the occasional walk on the dark side. :D Thanks!

You shifted from third person to first and then back to third again at one point and that was really the only bad part. Very nice.

Author's Response: You know, I think I've seen that spot within the story. I've just yet to stop being my lazy self to fix it. But thank you for pointing it out and I'm glad you enjoyed the story. :)

Very, very sad but equally beautiful. truly wonderful writing both this and the companion piece are amazing. (but dammit Hermione belongs with snape!)

Author's Response: *smiles* Thank you, freewomble! :) I'm also a devoted H/S 'shipper, but I still have room in my heart for yummy Lucius and Draco! :D Thanks so much for your review!

It's beautiful. Lucius is actually almost human in this fic ;)

Author's Response: I suppose there just has to be some element of humanity beneath that arrogance, suaveness, sexiness... *smacks self to prevent further distraction* Thanks for reviewing, Arabella!

......Consuming...and coming from a Snape/Granger shipper, that should mean something! :)

Author's Response: *smiles* I'm a H/S 'shipper myself, but I always have room in my heart for the sexy Malfoy men. ;) Thanks for reviewing, justme!

Ohhh, please please P-L-E-A-S-E, write more of this!!! DK

Author's Response: *smiles* I'm glad you enjoyed the companion, DK. I do not have any current plans to continue this little miniseries at the moment, but that could change in time. Who knows? Thanks so much for your review!

Oh, so wonderful! I really love Dark!Hermione...she makes me happy! And Lucius amuses me...I don't know why, but reading about him makes me happy! Wonderfully written...deffinitly worth a fave. ^__^

Author's Response: *smiles* Yes, Dark!Hermione is quite an interesting character to play with. And Lucius is always fun as well. I'm glad you enjoyed 'Unintended.' Thank you for your review, Bellatrix! :)

I loved this fic, well done...especially the way you portrayed Severus' jealousy (?) and Draco's lust. But what of Narcissa?

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review, justme! :) Well, in this case, Severus isn't jealous, it's more like he despises her for her betrayal. In my mind, I often think that Severus is actually playing both sides of the fence, waiting to see which side will win. Though, I rather think he has a preference for one particular side. To see Hermione betray that would rather tork him off. And as for Narcissa, well, it was stated that her marriage to Lucius had been little more than a paper marriage since Draco had been born. I rather think she has someone she's seeing on the side as well. It wouldn't surprise me, anyway. Yes, and Draco's looking is rather irritating to Lucius. The man doesn't share. Again, thanks so much for the review! :)

I like your concept. Dark!Hermione can be a dynamic character if she's written well, and your version of her was. I would have liked to see a little more of the psychological turmoil Hermione is going through. What kind of madness are we seeing here, Bellatrix Lestrange madness or dissociative madness? ;) Cheers.

Author's Response: *blushes* Thanks so much for the wonderful comments, Evan M! :) Dark!Hermione is very fun to write, setting up the circumstances for just how she would become that person. So far, there is nothing in the works to continue this little series, but who knows what the future may bring? And I don't see her madness as being like that of Bellatrix, but more of a distancing herself from the world in which her actions created. Her friends dead, a world ruled by Voldemort, and all to save the man she had come to love. Thanks so much for your review! :)

wow that was good! and now I like Worthy of Sacrifice much better too, after reading this perspective. I guess because I was so upset w/Hermione in that story, and now I do see that she does actually feel guilt. Madness is fitting for her actions. But the point is, both stories got me emotionally involved, from being horrified at Hermione's selfish and ultimate betrayal in Sacrifice, to saddened by the fate of her friends, to interested by Lucius' thoughts. The story got to me. Nicely done!

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed them both, OhGoddess. Personally, I was rather upset about Hermione's sacrifice when it flowed from my fingertips, but I just couldn't bring myself to change it. It seemed natural for 'Sacrifice.' And when 'Unintended' came to life, the madness Lucius sees growing in her seemed fitting as well. Talk about consequences... Thanks so much for your review!

Wow, a sad and happy ending all at the same time. I guess melancoly would be the word to describe it. Thanks for sharing this post!

Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing, Lyndie578! In regards to this story, the term 'bittersweet' comes to mind, but melancoly works very well too.

excellent concept. I'm really into those tragic endings, and this thread really piqued my interest

Author's Response: *grins* Thank you, emery! Tragic endings can be fun to write sometimes, can't they? Though, in my case, after I write one, I run off to read several sappy stories just to cheer myself up! ;D My way of coping, I suppose. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)

Reviewer: Bambu Anonymous star star star star star [Report This]

Excellent distaff side to the story. Talk about the thin end of the wedge... and what a small lever can ultimately accomplish. That madness will be Hermione's ultimate reward is completely understandable and rather tragic. But I think probably almost any pairing of Lucius and Hermione would end in tragedy of one sort or another.

Author's Response: Indeed, Bambu. Hermione's devotion to Lucius will, in the end, cost her everything. She has already lost her friends, and sooner or later, her sanity will follow due to the guilt. Perhaps, in the grand scheme of things, she was never meant to betray them, and this is her punishment: she gets her guy, but she'll slowly lose any true perspective on life. And can you imagine what life would be like for Lucius and Hermione's daughter? Living in a world where being a pureblood is everything, with a father who must publicly support that and a mother who is not only mad, but is the one who betrayed the light for the sake of her father... I've created a monster, I think... Thanks for reviewing! :)

I'm glad you finally were able to write a sequel. I was wondering why he hadn't just oblivated her, but then it wouldn't be so sad. Thanks for sharing.

Author's Response: *smiles* I'm glad I was able to write a sequel to this as well, ancientgirl. It was difficult in a few places, but I somehow managed to get it written. And it is sad, but with the way things happened, their just had to be some harsh consequences, namely Hermione slowly losing her sanity. Thanks for reviewing! :)
