Author's Response: Sorry for the looooong wait, but I had to take a bit of a break from writing. But I'm back now and hopefully chapters will be coming out more frequently. The story will be finished, but not for a while, there's so much more to happen before that! All I can ask for is a bit of patience if there is a wait between chapters, as I'm working odd hours at the moment so finding time to write is difficult. However I'm glad you've been enjoying it, and let me know what you think of the latest chapter.

I really haven't read much Lucius/Narcissa fic at all, and I've enjoyed this story very much so far. The pureblood politics and social climbing and the many details make this fic very compelling, and I'm looking foward to the future chapters. Excellent writing!

Very nice written I must say.. The part with Narcissa is great..
But I don't feel the pride of the Malfoy name anywhere..
